UK vs. Gamecocks Gamethread

We shall see. I realize Levis being out was huge, but we lost 3 starters on D week one for the season. Bad luck is our middle name. We were down 5 D starters last night. That's huge.

Exactly. THAT'S FOOTBALL!

Yall didn't play like a team that was lickin its wounds. You played to win and that got you through.

No one wants to talk about that. That makes a difference also. Been that way all year. Our D isn't great, but we don't have 5 starter loss depth. Your backup looked capable, and I agree the O coordinator really messed up not letting him play ball, and the biggest mistake was only giving CRod 5 carries in the second half.

Yep. Staff and team didn't bring it last night.

We won't be putting any asterisk by this win either cause at year's end, everyone has injuries. Bama is down their Heisman winning QB. They still won the past two weeks. We all have to get to a point where we can plug and play. Good luck the rest of the year cause if KY stays ranked, this win looks better. If you fall apart, not so much. The same can be said for us....we have a good year, this loss doesn't look so bad for KY...we fall apart, this loss sux even more for you.

Winning attitude. Best of luck to you.

Yea both teams were banged up and I don’t think Kentucky will be ranked anymore, they blew that chance, to many injuries combined with inconsistent play offensively

Last weeks game thread had several folks saying Stoops is building the program. Wanted to believe it…
He has built a program, where they were the vandy game during jokers time to know is a major accomplishment by stoops and the staff, the problem know is stoops and the team have reached the level where people have high expectations for the team, and the first chance of this he hasn’t met. I wanna see how they react when they get punched in the mouth, make the changes and stick with them. And lastly if levis comes back, please stop the conservative play calling

And yet it was throwing downfield that got the second TD.
And an interception, AND multiple sacks AND a bunch of incompletions.

They had one good drive, every other drive looked awful and keep in mind, usc was in a prevent defense on our 2nd score.

This guy was a backup qb and that was obvious. He was way off. In a game like this, you go back to the playbook we had when Bowden had to step in and play qb.

You can't just forget about 24 and that happened way too often. You ride him until he collapses.

Throwing the bsll downfield, got us a touchdown, yes, but it slso got us an embarrassing loss at hime.

When he did throw it looked pretty good. Key and Brown had passes they should’ve caught. This wasn’t on Sheron. This was on the piss poor coaching job.

I never said it was on Sheron, go back and read what I posted.

You don't throw the ball all over the field when you have a backup qb, you're playing against an SEC defense and you have a bull for a RB.

C-Rod was getting 5 ypc and our OC called plays like he had Aaron Rodgers for a QB. Sheron was not ready for that kind of pressure.

Great, he had 1 impreasive drive, but then he did nothing.

Just go with your strength, let C-Rod carry the load until you have to throw it.

That was some of the dumbest play calling I've seen in years. It made no damn sense.

Need to throw the ball on earlier downs. It doesn’t matter now anyways.
