Why is it that when a UK faces a backup QB that the opposing offense never seems to suffer much, many times even looking better than normal. But when it’s UKs turn with a backup QB, all of a sudden the offense is awful. Why is that?

Your first sentence has a big impact on the second...twice this drive the USC DL just blew through and got to Sheron before the play even developed.

That being said, knowing the limitations of the OL, I am disappointed that Scang hasn't tried to develop a better offensive gameplan with the ball coming out of the QBs hands much quicker.
