Against Pitt, yes. UT's worst game of the year offensively, but also UT's first game of the season on the road against a ranked opponent with a hostile crowd. Pitt got off to a hot start in the 1st qtr while Hooker was missing open receivers and when he did hit them they had the dropsies.
But then 2nd qtr UT finally got untracked and took a halftime lead. They built up a 10 pt lead in the 3rd qtr then decided to start giving the ball away and killing drives with penalties and allowed Pitt to get the game to OT, where UT regained its composure and put them away.
Agaunst UF, I thought UT took complete control of the game mid 3rd qtr, and went up 38-21 with 7:55 left in the game, and seemingly had the game put away. DC Tim Banks they went into a prevent to keep AR15, with his big arm, from throwing over the D for a quick score, and it worked as UF was inly able to pull to 38-33 with 17 seconds left and needing a miracle at that point. They got 1/2 of the miracle with a perfect onside kick, but the UT defense prevented the other half of the miracle by not letting AR15 get a hail mary into the EZ. But the end was for sure scarier than I had anticipated when the score was 38-21.
