"We are pleased to include full cost-of-attendance scholarships and
excited to offer them to both current and prospective student-athletes,"
Barnhart said in a news release. "I spoke in support of providing the
full cost of attendance on behalf of our league last month. The passage
of this legislation is an important step as we move forward in our
mission to comprehensively serve UK student-athletes in the best manner
possible."

In addition to funding the maximum amount of scholarships with
tuition, fees, room, board and books, Kentucky will "provide the maximum
allowable cost of attendance for all 22 sports," according to the
release.

Glad to hear that this is being implemented. Always nice to provide well for the student athletes!

This is my worry. How is this managed? Do schools just come up with their own numbers? If the Auburn # is correct, you can't tell me it costs more in Alabama than any other state in the conference. Alabama is one of the poorest states in the south.

There is a formula to it, that being said, I'm with you auburn has to be the cheapest to live town next to Starkville.

Rather see them just give the kids a guaranteed 4 year scholarship. Do away with grey shirts and other shady dealings.
