Chris Graves is regarded as one of the better cornerbacks in the state of Florida.
The 6'2, 180-pound prospect is close to four-star status on the Rivals.com network.
has offers from the likes of Boston College, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Iowa State, LSU, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Penn State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia, among several others.
Kentucky is one of the more recent schools to offer Graves, although the Wildcats are making an interesting pitch.
"It's the receivers coach (Jovon Bouknight) who is recruiting me from there and he likes me as a receiver but kinda for both (receiver and corner)," Graves told Cats Illustrated in a recent interview.
"I kinda prefer corner but I can play receiver if somebody wants me at receiver. He said he likes my speed and how I can track the ball. He likes that I have great hands and stuff like that. We just started talking but I know that's what he likes about me."
Graves said he's open to getting to know Bouknight and Kentucky better but the 'Cats have some ground to make up on the basis of getting involved later than some other schools.
He has already scheduled official visits to Miami (6/3), LSU (6/18), and South Carolina (6/25).
"I'm saving my others (official visits) until I see what offers I'm going to have and who else wants those spots," Graves said.
Pitt and Kentucky are the two most recent schools to offer the two-way Florida standout.
"As for Pitt, I was talking to them during the last football season but the coach I was talking to switched to NC State. Pitt's a good program. I like what they have going on. It's just too early to really say because they just offered me."
The same is true for Kentucky, he said.
Ranked the No. 58 player in the state of Florida from the Class of 2022, Graves is also ranked the No. 58 cornerback prospect in the nation.
Kentucky does not have any wide receiver commitments from the Class of 2022. However, the Wildcats do have a pledge from cornerback Andre Stewart, with the program looking to take at least another couple of players who are capable of playing corner.
Graves had 27 catches for 500 yards and four touchdowns to go along with 26 tackles and a pick on defense last year.
He has been quoted as saying he might not make a decision until the very end of the recruiting process on National Signing Day.
