So that failure was not on the OL.

I hope you are correct but what has transpired that would make you think this. Don't start trying to set our expections over the top again. Same stuff posted all last preseason. Let's stay realistic. Thank you!
Gotta catch that ball, TRob! Now, we're way backed up with no running game thus far. Bad decision. Special teams, again...grrr

Surprised how well wade is playing the position. Moving in the pocket, reading zone, etc. Very nuanced.

Destin Wade as a freshman in his first start looking like a legitimate QB prospect is what prompted my post. But, yeah, we’re definitely going 15-0 next season.
I feel a lot better about the QB position next year after this 1st qtr.
We have no running backs in this game capable of breaking a tackle. Wade looks OK so far, but we need better field position. We had it early but did not capitalize.
Wade has made the right reads and is getting the ball out on time. He's missed a few throws deep, but Iowa has made zero coverage and assignment mistakes to this point.
We are in dire need of a RB. I know we are down two, but if we don’t have a better young RB than McClain on the roster I question our ability to evaluate talent.
