UK down to 17 in AP poll

I mean we beat #5 then lose a Quad 1 road gane without 2 starters in the SEC is feel like we should have stayed put at 15. Michigan and Wisconsin moving up 8 and 5 spots i think is a bit much. Here comes that Big10 love as usual.

The SEC is so dominant road losses shouldn't do much against you especially if your competitive and it isn't LSU or SC.

This is the exact logic they have used for years when the Big 12 “beats up on each other.” They are so good, so deep, the losses just don’t matter. I promise you, this is exactly what would be happening - it has happened numerous times already in the not so distant past.

6 wins over current top 25. Not bad. Too bad we lost some of these damn games we should have won. Vandy, Clemson (had that one), Georgia, Ohio State, Texas. With those five wins we would be looking really damn good right now.
I am now on pins and needles about losing to LSU. Living here that is just not something I can live with. Yes they are terrible but as you pointed out, with our injury situation, every game is a potential loss. Please dear Lord, please let the Cats win that game!!!!!!!!!!

People keep saying this, but the 6th best program just won the last two national titles, and the year before that, Kansas won it all in a Final Four that included Duke and UNC. Presently, Kentucky, UNC, Kansas and Duke have top 10 NIL systems.

When exactly do all these other programs start winning titles? It just sounds like a weak excuse to give Kentucky a pass. We still draw 21,000 fans per home game and we are literally the only relevant sport in a state that has 4 million people. I won't accept excuses of "parity" when this is still Kentucky.

And how are UNC and KU faring right now? They aren’t. And KU especially has an experienced coach. Who has two titles. And the second one was somewhat gift wrapped.

Of course this is still Kentucky. But if you can’t see how the sport is changing? These players aren’t going to schools to win. They’re going to schools to get paid. Hell, we just saw a kid commit to UNC and cited their coach as the reason why he went when that coach might not even be there next season if the fan base gets rowdy enough. Even if he is, there’s serious doubts about his ability to win at an acceptable level. Schyer is doing decent but that’s due to Ks influence still being heavy. K isnt immortal as far as we know so, their future succeed isnt guaranteed.

As history has shown, no empire lasts forever. Im not saying that to be a downer on us but the sport is changing. Outside of Duke, there’s a very real chance no blue blood makes the E8 this year. And even they might not.

4 bad losses lol worst lost is against NET 42 and is a quad 2 the other 3 "bad" losses were vs QUAD 1

Yep terrible losses

Beat UT and get NO CREDIT for it we seen Tenn MOVE UP to 4 after being 8th after we beat them at their own place a few weeks ago

The polls are bias against Kentucky clearly

Thats because every time we do something amazing we go full derp and lose to a team we shouldn’t.

Nearly every single time

Beat Zaga and UofL, derp to OSU
Beat UF , derp to UGA
Beat A&M on the road, and should’ve beat Bama, derp to Vandy
Beat Tenn, derp to Arky
Beat Tenn AGAIN, derp to Texas

Every decent step we’ve taken has been offset. That’s why the pools are rightfully unsure about us. Three of those derps should be Ws. And we’d be at 20 wins and in ok shape.

Our ranking right now is MORE than fair. Yes, we’re missing two starters. Guess what? NCAA doesn’t care. SEC doesn’t care. And opposing teams DEFINITELY don’t care.

Yes this was a rebuild year. Thats why I don’t think people are necessarily upset, just bummed. We started out better than we ever could’ve thought only to end up where we thought we’d be. Thats disappointing. No way around it. And it’s no one’s fault per se. Pope has made a couple of head scratching coaching decisions, but that happens. Guys have gotten hurt. But the most concerning thing has been the lack of effort at times. The derpy passes and sloppy play. Sure some of that is due to our PGs being banged up. But some of it has just been stupid decisions. From veteran dudes. It’s frustrating.

I don’t think anyone sane is ready to ditch Pope. He’s going to need a strong growing year next year though to keep morale decent. But I also thank it’s fair to be bummed about where we are right now.

Coaches don't like us as much; down to #21. It's like they don't even take into account we just beat UT last Tuesday. SMH.

That’s what happens when every time you get a great win you follow it up with a derpy loss. They aren’t bad losses p, just stupid ones. Games we should’ve won. Or at the very least been far more competitive in. That matters to pollsters. Especially coaches who know the game.

We are a 14-20 ranked team. We are not elite, but we have been good to great at times and overachieved for a team put together at the last minute by a new coach. We’ll remember this team fondly for getting the Pope era started. Better days are ahead of us.

We're good enough, but only when we are healthy.

Having injuries, has disrupted this team more than anything.

Not even a new coach can coach their way out of a string of injured players....especially starters.

We got to have leaders on the court, actively making the decision to score and make defensive plays.

Cats go 2-4 down the stretch. Enter SEC tournament unranked. Exit on Thursday and enter NCAA as a 4 seed in the west or a 5 seed in east.
Auburn bama and mizzou lossses don’t hurt. Can’t lose to Oklahoma or LSU and Vandy.
Good thing is they have done enough to make tourney no matter what. Only goal now is to get healthy for NCAA.

Under your scenario, are you saying you feel we would still be ranked in top 20, with a 19-13 record ??
That seems too high to me, if we were to only win 2 out of our next 7 games.

Currently a 3 seed and ranked 17th. They consider injuries and sec carries weight this season. So yeah could still land in a 4 line but 5 more likely.
