UK down to 17 in AP poll

6 wins over current top 25. Not bad. Too bad we lost some of these damn games we should have won. Vandy, Clemson (had that one), Georgia, Ohio State, Texas. With those five wins we would be looking really damn good right now.
It's really really frustrating to sh*t the bed against bad teams after we beat the REALLY good ones.

Duke is the only blueblood in the T10. Sport is changing and I said it was a couple years ago. Once K is gone, Duke will fall too. The era of blueblood dominance is waning

How many teams with as many losses as we have are ranked ahead of us? A team with 8 losses and 4 bad losses can’t expect to be ranked much higher than 20ish
Every team that has beaten us is a projected Tourney team.

People keep saying this, but the 6th best program just won the last two national titles, and the year before that, Kansas won it all in a Final Four that included Duke and UNC. Presently, Kentucky, UNC, Kansas and Duke have top 10 NIL systems.

When exactly do all these other programs start winning titles? It just sounds like a weak excuse to give Kentucky a pass. We still draw 21,000 fans per home game and we are literally the only relevant sport in a state that has 4 million people. I won't accept excuses of "parity" when this is still Kentucky.

Have we sh** the bed against bad teams with a full slate of healthy players?!
No, and I'm not expecting miracles. I simply stated that it's frustrating. There seems to be a trend. Nothing more, nothing less. We seem to pull off those miracles against better teams and not against lesser teams. I fully support Pope, and the effort the team is giving.

Losses have consequences. All losses are bad if you expect to be a top seed or ranked in the Top 10. I also noticed that 5 of our losses have been on Saturday....fresh on the mind of the voters those weeks.

If you go by the metrics, UK has one bad loss. Arkansas. And the NET backs that up.
I get it….but no matter how you slice it, no matter who was out….Saturday was a “bad loss”…..a terrible loss. Up 5 at the under 4:00 tv timeout and basically not score but one point after that until hitting 2 threes that didn’t matter. The 3 chances Johnson got before getting an and one and the offensive rebound on the missed ft were inexcusable. Make either of those plays and we win that game.

No doubt we played the last 4 the best you could against Tennessee and the worst you could at Texas. Consistency will be key for the bench guys now until we get healthy hopefully. If that happens we will be amazing with the new depth.

That 5 point lead lasted but a few seconds before we fouled a 3 point shooter, again. ugh.

4 bad losses lol worst lost is against NET 42 and is a quad 2 the other 3 "bad" losses were vs QUAD 1

Yep terrible losses

Beat UT and get NO CREDIT for it we seen Tenn MOVE UP to 4 after being 8th after we beat them at their own place a few weeks ago

The polls are bias against Kentucky clearly

I'm just going to emphasize in my own thinking the fact that we beat the No. 2, No. 3, No. 6 (twice !), and No. 7 teams in the country - as well as No. 21 and No. 25. And that with a team that was put together in 2 months. Even if the bottom falls out today ... that's a remarkable accomplishment ! Way to go, Coach Pope ! ! !
And of course ... Go 'Cats ! ! !

The good news is that the committee doesn't pay attention to the AP. But, we still have to win games the rest of the way out if we expect to get a decent seed (top 4).

I look at it like we are probably still hanging on to a 3 seed right now. To keep a 3/4 seed I think we are "allowed" to lose to Bama, Auburn and Missouri and need to win Vandy, OU, and LSU. Basically we need some combination of 3-3 to maintain.

I was just coming back to ask what if we finish 3-3 (just like you say) and then win the first tourney game and lose second. Finish the "season" at 21-12. What seed to you think the committee will give us? IF, Butler/Robinson/Kerr (or at least one) are back do we get the benefit of the doubt? What if none are back?

I think if we even drop one of any of those 4 wins above 4 seed at best. Unless we win one of the 4 losses above no shot at a 3 unless our injured players come back and look good in the SEC tourney (loss to one of the top teams).

Thank God I just wish we would win the games vs the bubble teams after beating so many high end teams. It irks me to no end.

We were still up 2 after he made the 3 he then missed the FT got the rebound and threw it to us and we dunked it and was up 4. Try again.
Oh my bad. Let me try again. You were an asshole and then we took a shot and missed and then they hit another one and you were an asshole. Then there was a foul and we lost and you were an asshole. I rewatched the tape
