UK Baseball retweeted the UK Cheer championship tweet. Which made me think. Does the cheerleading squad ever do UK Baseball games? How would that work? Might be fun!

I haven't heard of it, but it would be pretty cool. With the new carpet you'd think it would be more of an option for them to go and do some sideline type stunts or tumbling between innings. You could also have some of them in the crowd with the megaphones leading chants throughout the game.

Would be kind of a cool idea to do it for a game and to showcase them as 24 time national champs and to kind of make a lot of the activities about them. Have their coach throw out the first pitch and have them out there for the national anthem. Probably a lot of fun you could do with them.

I'd love to see American Baseball (especially college) get the atmosphere that Japanese Baseball has. Lots of cheering and fan participation.

Maybe I am just too set in my ways, but I don't think I would quite want it to be to that level. I think baseball can be really enjoyable partly because it isn't so intense. Still, for some games, having that atmosphere is awesome.

I wasn't even there for the UK regional game against NC State a few years ago, but just watching it on television was awesome and you could even feel the electricity on TV and through the radio. Will never forget the entire crowd singing Sweet Caroline as a sort of rallying cry.

I was there for that. That was arguably the best atmosphere for a college baseball game I’ve been too. Even at 2 in the morning.

I know it had to be awesome. Even through the television you could really feel how excited the place was. I got even more pumped up from the vibe of the fans and the stadium. If it was that way on tv then it had to have been something extremely special in person.

What’s funny if you go back and watch the video of that game, Sean Hjelle is trying his best to hold back from laughing in between pitches during sweet Caroline. He said after the season was over it was the hardest time he ever had trying to stay focused during a game.

Haha that is pretty crazy. They ran a special on Fox Sports about the season. I have it on my DVR and still haven't actually watched it. I need to do that to prepare for this season.

CB3...was one of the most electric UK events I've been to and rivaled being at the win over Fla and Citrus Bowl...Imagine if we were to ever win a trip to CWS!!

We bought tickets for like $30 a pop if I recall correctly. Made it back home just north of Cincinnati before first pitch. Good ol’ school times drinking a case of Budweiser riding in a car for 3.5 hours. True story...it was on and poppin’ even through the TV screen for that regional.

I'm really considering going to game one at KPP. Haven't decided yet, but as the season gets closer I'm going to have a hard time saying no. Lol

I got an email for $3 tickets to opening day, promo code KYHOME on Ticketmaster.

Id like to make the opener but work calls of course. Id complain about the 4pm starts but my schedule is going to be changing at some point and making these midweek games will be alot more plausible.

More worried about weather than anything else. Gettin’ old, 28 going on 58. Could buy season tickets and rack up a few K-Fund points.
