UK at Ole Miss scheduled for noon on ESPN

Screw yourself shortie....ESPN is moronic for having UK ranked in top 10 and Ole Miss will be top 15 in two weeks and kicking that off at noon. If you like ESPN...then all be it. I find ESPN to be silly to deal with anymore.

This is large part of why ESPN is more Entertainment than it is over Sports as their mission. ESPN + is a total bend over to fans for no reason. When watching basketball games the split screen focuses more on guest speakers than actual players on court. ESPN.com...leads with WNBA highllghts (like women shooting lay ups is amazing to watch).

I hate the thought we're tied to ESPN....they are pretty bad at sports now a days.
Shortie? Lmao I’m 6’2 225 who are you? Lurch from the Adams Family? If you don’t like the network, watch something else. There’s this new gadget out now called a Remote Control.

NewsFlash: E. S. P. N. Listen up, I’m only going to say this once….Entertainment & Sports Programming Network. Woke the phuck up 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. 🤡

Damn, same start time as my son's youth football game. This is the bad side of cable cutting. I can no longer record the games 😥
If you have YouTube or Hulu you can definitely record the games.

Hate it for those wanting to party in the Grove, but this is actually MUCH BETTER for the team. 11 AM for them definitely takes away from the home field advantage.
My thought. They are an hour hehind so this actually helps us.... maybe.

There are enough statistical breakdowns in sports these days, I'd love to see an analysis of how the home team as a favorite does in a 12 noon est/11 am ctr kickoff

Everyone always SAYS the home crowd will be more subdued than night, making it easier. But is there any proof?
Here's Stoops' record. Not good.

As someone who has looked forward to my one SEC road game for 6 months , this flat out sucks ass . 11am ? For 2 teams ranked in the top 15 or so . I'm sure Vegas loves a 9am kickoff. its ridiculous , there is no good reason for this .

I agree with the sentiment - the #2 game being played at noon doesn’t make a lot of sense.

That said, Big X and Big 12 have done this for a while now. It is not as if you can’t be ready for a noon kick off.

As far as who it helps more - I think the most rational explanation is that it is different from week to week, and it is possible for either team to be unprepared, as typical game day routines are thrown off by the early start.

Certainly don't like this time, but just have to make the best of it. Ole Miss is one of the last 3 venues I've not been to in SEC and at my age I may or may not make the next one. Gonna make an early start to make the best of it. It is what it is.

BTW, this is a big reason I would never even consider season tickets again. Nobody else sells you tickets for something months in advance and tells you the time 12 days before the event.

feel bad for those actually going. It’s a 8 hour drive (with stops) to Oxford from Lexington. That obviously means you have to leave Friday night. A 7:00 game would make a world of difference.

Leaving Thursday for Tupelo and driving to Oxford early Saturday morning. Like I said...it is what it is. Every school has to deal with it. It's about $$$$$. Imagine being an A&M fan and attending road games. It's what Texas & Oklahoma are signing up for, and those two schools probably have as much or more support/money than any school in the SEC.

Hey, enjoy the trip. Some of the nicest opposing fans in the league are down there. I’m working on my list as well.

Some of the responses in this thread crack me up. One- it’s football, kickoff, let’s go, I’ll eat supper whenever. Two- It’s an inconvenience to me and my work schedule. Your work schedule allows you to have a possibility to attend, most don’t. Three, and I love this one- I don’t like it. Well, don’t go. Watch the replay like the rest of us peasants.

If we had the game at Kroger Field instead of down there what time would you want the game to be?
Noon if I’m going to the game. I like to watch other SEC games, and if it’s at 7:00 PM ESPN/ESPN2 or 4:00 PM on the SEC Network it is smack dab in the middle of the other primetime games or the CBS game. Being a UK fan often gets in the way of being a college football fan/wagerer. The sooner, the better. Get ‘er done and let’s enjoy a fall Saturday!

The best home atmospheres in the country happen at night. I would always prefer a tough road game during the day. And I would always prefer our home games be at night
I’d say most athletes prefer a more adrenaline filled night crowd over a Cat Walk at 8AM.

But idk.
