I am probably not the only one wondering if Huggins get canned if UK can't step in and grab Syracuse big man transfer Jesse Edwards.
Guy needs to go dry out and probably shut it down for good. Sad situation that could have been much worse.
He may have just done WVU a favor.

WVU blew a perfect opportunity earlier this year to fire this moron with cause over his radio interview. Will they take advantage of a 2nd chance? No buyout, and it's not like they were going to be a tournament threat anyway. They can let the lead assistant take over at this point and be no worse for it.
I remember the one he got in Cincinnati which helped him lose his job there. And he asked the cop if they could " just give me a ride home" and the police officer replied " NO! we did that last time, you're going to jail " Hard telling how many times he got away with it.
West Virignia needs to go back to being part of VA. That state will literally become a wasteland in 50 years if they don't.

I imagine it will be his top assistant, who was a head coach at Northwestern and Duquesne from 2001 - 2012. Then they will search. But who knows.

I can give two craps about comments on a podcast. The DUI problem is serious though considering his history. Huggins may need to hit rock bottom before he finally gets the help he needs and makes some changes.
My point is that his radio interview gave WVU a way to fire him with cause and avoid a buyout. They were going to have to fire him in a couple of years anyway because of his record. Poor decision by WVU not to take advantage of it, but Huggins has apparently given them a 2nd chance.
Our basketball program is the equivalent dumpster fire of Huggy Bears life at the moment.

Idk why rich drunks don't hire a permanent driver. Yeah, it would cost a decent amount per year due to the person being "on call" but worth it.
Nearly 70 years old and continues to be an embarrassment. As others have said, WVU had the perfect opportunity to dump him and chose differently. My guess is now he'll be gone. And just like with the radio comments, he's only got himself to blame.
I don't think Virginia would want it back.

Man, a lot of you are throwing hate words towards him. I don’t really care who he is as a person. If alcohol is controlling his life I hope he gets help. Having lost a close family member to it, I can tell you it’s hard to watch. It really is a sickness which some never overcome.
