UFC Fighter Bryce Mitchell on Hitler: “I don’t think he was that bad of a guy….Holocaust ain’t real”

Lifting your arm up while speaking isn't a bad look. Smacking your chest and doing it the way Musk repeatedly did is. You know the difference and when in a thread like this you post something about Elon Musk weeks after he did his weird little salute, someone is going to respond with the Musk salute gif. Roll with it instead of gatekeeping for the awkward billionaire. The guy isn't public enemy number one but he sure as shit doesn't need people online coming to his defense every time he does something cringe either.

But hey, like I said, let's all hope if UK wins tonight Mark Pope does exactly what Elon Musk did while standing on the Rupp floor.

Note: no one here actually wants Mark Pope to do that because we all know it would be a horrific look for himself, his family, and our program.

You are missing a rock fight in Knoxville that would cure ED for Cal for a lifetime.

I don't think Elon is a Nazi, but I know actual Nazi's feel empowered by this stupid stuff.

It's funny to me because Elon is what we've been told for three decades that George Soros is. They both over meddle in politics and the daily lives of normal people and people don't seem to care because they support their cause.

It's stupid, all of this is stupid.

Edit : When the predominant zeitgeist was much more liberal and Elon was becoming the richest man in the world, he was a popular figure for both his dedication to electric cars and support of liberal causes (seriously, check his donation history). He's now molding himself as a far right populist who wants the world to continue shifting that way. That's fine, but it's the equivalent of a girl going goth for her new boyfriend, or suddenly liking country music, when she's never owned cowboy boots.

I'll say I did like Dana White's response at the presser after what Mitchell said.

Musk clearly loves attention and trolling but he doesn't realize how awkward it comes off. He's in his 50's, has a family, and is a successful businessman yet recently tweeted he'd volunteer to impregnate Taylor Swift. You don't say shit like that in public. Imagine your dad or again, Mark Pope saying that on social media. I doubt Musk is some hardened Nazi but you don't do a Nazi salute in front of the world, on Inauguration Day no less. He doubled down and did it more than once. It's embarrassing at best. But Musk is into politics so he's either a Nazi to millions or millions are tripping over themselves to take up for him.

Replace Elon Musk with Mark Pope. Would you realistically want Pope saying he'd like to impregnate a pop star or watch him give Nazi salutes in front of BBN on Rupp's floor? The answer is clearly no. Why is it "no" to Pope but "let's explain this away" for Musk? Hell, I might play the "let's replace x with Pope" game more often because that question is being avoided here.

An actual reasoned and measured take.

I'll add that Elon is on the spectrum and seems to have some odd emotional body language. Before the inauguration, it was his jumping around that he got mocked for.

Elon has also actually built things. His genius is in the innovation and willingness to see it through. Soros is a hedge fund guy that used to be who most leftists despised as he creates no jobs and has more wealth than he needs. These are two entirely different people.

Also, Soros literally ratted out Jews and helped the Nazis. When asked if he had remorse, he did not.

They aren't the same and Elon has been in politics for a fraction of the time Soros has.

We'll see how the Elon thing goes. I'd rather a job creator and genius be involved than a hedge fund manager. My .02.
