I just picked up tix on the 50yd line 6 rows up behind the UK bench for about $200 each. The tix are much cheaper than normal, as I usually pay closer to $400, so I suspect the fans are expecting a rough start to the season because the Utah tix are cheap too. So if you are so inclined, I'd suggest t jump on the now because if they beat Utah the prices might double. See you in Gainesville!

I don't have tickets yet but I will be there. Anyone else on the Allegiant flight back to Lexington at 1 on Sunday?

Satcheluk, where did you go to get them at that price? Thanks.

UF is probably gonna get boatraced against Utah. Utah has been in some preseason top 5 polls. UF is probably a 7-5 or 6-6 type of team this year.

Gut tells me Florida wins that game.
In some ways, we have more advantages this year than we did when we stomped them in the swamp in 2018. They have a new coaching staff. Their rushing defense is suspect. We have Levis, a veteran defense, and both of our kickers. Many talking heads are picking us to finish ahead of them in the east. If our edge players contain Richardson, this should profile as a probable Kentucky win.

I live in Virginia, so I am glad it is being televised.

We scheduled a long vacation weekend down in Orlando since it’s around my birthday. We decided to tack on a side trip to Gainesville for the game.

Both two tickets for the wife and I….. Bought them through the UK ticket office so we’ll be in the visitors section. Assume there will be UK tailgating…. Looking forward to it….. it will be a battle but I think we can take them.

I considered doing the same, but I've gotten spoiled sitting midfield. The UK tix are only $70, but they will be in the corner, but lower arena near the field. I sat there with the Tampa alumni several years ago and got fried by the noon FL sun. Glad this is a night game.

It amazes me how the big 3 in Florida have fallen apart. It's a big state loaded with high school talent. I grew up there. The Hurricanes who for 20 years were the terror of CFB are a shadow of their former selves, and little hope of ever being much again. No support from their students and alumni. Florida State was also one of the dominate teams of the game, as recently as seven years ago. A big zilch now. The Gators have been a total underachiever since Urban Meyer left.

Can't wait and I'm already nervous as hell. On paper I think we're better, we've had some success against them but it's still Florida and it's the Swamp. It's the biggest game of the year for us. A win there sets the table for the season if it's going to be a special one, keeps the Florida program on the ropes while we keep our spot as the 2nd best program in the East, 6-2 to even 8-0 in SEC play becomes likely with a NY6 bowl or better. A loss wouldn't be unexpected but it would be a major momentum killer for us.

I tend to agree with you. I think most are remembering the UF team that had quit in games against Missouri and SoCar and not the one still fighting that played Bama within 2 points. If Billy gets the team to buy in, they will give Utah all they want and then some.

PAC 12 officials will be on duty. Can see them giving Florida a favorable whistle when it doesn’t matter in the first half, then the west coast crook shenanigans take over.

To be honest, SEC officials are not real kind to us in these outer conference games unless it's Bama.

I just think UF is going to perform better in the opener than they were at the end of 21, now if they have a couple things go against them early it could cause a meltdown.

My favorite from last year is when the James Carter SEC crew had Penn State punting on third down vs. Auburn. That’s the way I like officiating!

Team performance is often cyclicial, though I do have some insight into FSU, as my father was a letterman there. Their Athletic Department, similar to Auburn's, is run by the boosters and that caused Jimbo to leave and has hindered bringing in their preferred coaches. The chaos and infighting hinders on field performance. With Florida, it's mostly about recruiting. They brought in guys who could coach but didn't keep up in the recruiting area and that showed on the field. Miami, as a private school, has had facilities that would embarrass most P5 institutions, not to mention their "home" football field is a 25 mile drive from campus which could take an hour in bad traffic.
