This video makes me so much more excited to see him suit up for Kentucky. Has that Brandon Knight and Jamal Murray skill/confidence with the ball....but looks way more athletic than they were in high school. Looks in control of the game.

I know we are recruiting other guards....but if 2 or 3 of the Green/Quickley/Baker/Herro come back...we don't need anyone else to pair with Maxey.

And if we get Wiseman and/or Carey to pair with Maxey and some returning studs....2020 looks as exciting as the 2010 and 2015 season levels of hype.

His body control is special. Plays through contact and can finish from all three levels. Going to be very nice player for UK.

Hopefully. Going from 8 to 10 in two years would be program changing as far as the pursuit of UCLA and putting a canyon between us and the competition.

But I'd rather have all hands on deck this year. I'll take one title team over two elite 8 squads.

Would you have rather have Brandon Knight on the Wall squad? I would.

No I mean with him. If we had that 10 roster set but Brandon Knight wanted to reclassify and join the team, should we have told him no?

Because it's hard to argue that him on that team wouldn't have won a title. He's all they were missing.

Does that make the 11 squad worse? Yes. It probably means Cal has to take Josh Selby and all his issues or try to find a guy further down the list to run the show. But I'd take that tradeoff.

I would clarify that we get Knight instead of Bledsoe and we are a much better team. Knight would have been the shooter we needed...imagine all the great looks he would have gotten with Wall's driving skills and Boogie/Patterson drawing attention down low.

I'd take Maxey this year for sure, but I think we are fine at guard without him in my opinion.
