Leaves a TCU shooters wide open for 3 with like 20 seconds to go, bad passes in their final possession leads to an out of bounds play with 2 seconds to go, you already know its over when Cal has to draw up an out of bounds play to win with 2 seconds to go.

Fland gets a HORRIBLE look and it's not close. They lose by 1.

Edit : Arkansas with zero points in the last 3 1/2 minutes and shoots 29% from 3 with 14 turnovers lmao.

I watched the second half of the game on twitter and puked a little in my mouth. Some of the worst basketball I have ever seen.

Arkansas HC John Calipari on TCU:

"Give TCU credit. They fought like crazy. We had every chance to win the game at the end and they made plays."
Holy shit I figured u were just being a smart ass and predicting what he would have said and it sounded accurate but it’s actually exactly how he opened up. Also he got the computers machines and robots back in there.

Wait. Why was this allowed?

It used to be that you could play two typical Div-2-or-lower teams and sell tickets.

OR, alternatively, you could choose to play ONE div-1 opponent in a “secret scrimmage,” behind closed doors, untelevised, and you couldn’t sell tickets.

Why does Arky get to play KANSAS and TCU BOTH and put both on TV?

If nothing else that’s unfair because think about the revenue. A TCU game or a KU game is going to get way better ratings than a Wesleyan or a Minnesota State Mankato Whatever That Is game. And obviously in the modern era higher TV ratings equals higher value ESPN contract equals more revenue which is surely all going into NIL.

And even if I’m guessing wrong about there being a difference in TV revenue, there’s still unquestionably a difference in ticket sales revenue. We had Rupp “mostly full” for our two exhibition games, is what I heard. Something like 20,000 seats filled. You know as well as I do Rupp would have been bursting at the seams if we’d played Kansas. And can you imagine what UKAthletics would have charged for that seat? Coz darned straight people would pay it.

How is that fair?

And if it is fair why didn’t we do this?

EDIT: Okay. I see the TCU game is a charity game. So that takes care of the revenue problem. Still not sure why they can put Kansas on TV or why we wouldn’t follow suit.

Shocked, I tell you. Shocked at this!!
Arkansas fans better get used to THIS. Cal already in March/late season form. No lead is safe when he is coaching.

DJ and Z both came back down to earth, as expected.

I wish we could have kept Thiero Adou. Probably Arkansas's best player.

I’ll take Robinson and Carr for my forwards 7 days a week over Adou . Big Z is the one that was a perfect fit for Popes system. But the decision was made for him before Pope could even speak with him.

Some free advice for Arkansas fans.

Expect 10 losses that way you won't be disappointed if it happens and youll be super exuberant if Cal surpasses his covid capabilities.

Question:

Did flogging “#1” KU so hard have anything to do with Cal losing to TCU the next game?

Cal himself is kind of a mixed bag imo as far as coaching. Some of his success was Worldwide Wes and good assistants. But some of it was good coaching like I saw versus Wichita State and Ohio State before that, if I’m honest. And then there’s a whole laundry list of bad attributes he has as a coach BUT

None of those compare to his ego in my opinion. Cal’s ego is a huge monster that outcoaches him every single time he faces it in any environment.

Did the KU win puff up his head so big he couldn’t see out of it? If he’d lost to Self or won by five would he have taken down TCU by carrying ahead with that same drive to recreate (and validate) himself that he took down to Arkansas when he left here?

Like I said when I watched a depleted Kansas team get beat the other night. That Kansas team was nowhere near a top 25 team, and Arkansas looked like a lesser version of the team we had last year. Arkansas is shooting under 30% from 3 in two exhibition games. Enjoy your rock fights.
