Two pictures

Couldn’t find it but Anthony Davis telling Louisville at the final four this is our state after Kentucky beat them

Another two good pics would be one of cal the brash Don using salt packets to explain offense vs cal the fat grandpa in his recliner grinning and eating cheese balls.

The contrast in those two pics says it all.

One of the greatest , funnest games ever .. I never gave up , I knew LSU didnt have enough sense to be smart with the ball, and I knew we could put a lot of points together in a hurry .. and they had the one and only Dale Brown ... LOL .. I called my brother at like 12;15 AM and he was laughing his ass off when he answered ..

I cant state how much I love this thread . Back when things were different , sports were different , BBN was different .

I enjoyed that one. Doubtful of the alternative.

Yeah I had Ole Grom chained once, the chump got sneaky and escaped when I cut off his internet feed. He's a tender soul.... I've heard of passive-aggressive but Ole Grom in real life is passive-passive.... Just a tender natured soul.... Have a good evening Bc... (I hope you and yours are well.)

If I’ve said it once I’ve said it 1000 times, I’m so envious of those who got to watch the Pitino years. My first real memory is 99.
Oh boy - I was living on campus in 96, 97, and half of 98 (graduated after fall semester). Well, right off campus in apartment, but student for those years. It was ****ing amazing man. Amazing. Was a student from 93-98. Best of times my man. Best of times!

I had the Goose Was Golden way back when but unfortunately it's long gone now.

Kinda like once owning a hemi-cuda muscle car, aye? We couldn’t appreciate at the time how special a thing we once had so to speak. I have a friend who had a few muscle cars back in the 70s when there were gas lines and nobody wanted them, and he always says he kicks himself for selling them and regrets not having one or more of them now LOL.

What I'd give for a bag of cash and a time machine.

Man I can’t tell you what you missed. It was the greatest sports time of my life. I worshiped Pitino and those guys. It’ll never be the same.
Personally I never went as far as worship but yeah, it was a purely magical era. 1000% want-to. Pitino would have given his life to have won that Duke game. It was probably six months afterwards before he even remembered things like dogs existed.

You got to experience a time, up close and personal, that would make any UK fan worth their salt beyond jealous.

This is probably the best thread I've seen on this site in months. I'm reminded of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Ghosts of UKMBB past, present, and future. May we all wake up to keep UK basketball spirit in our hearts every day of the year. God bless us everyone.

Grown men! Love it.
Yes...playing for a championship instead of playing/coaching for June. Do you for a second think RP would have a problem benching Wheeler for Wallace and playing Livingston. CCC is down to taking advice from a 25 yr old.

Saddest part of this whole Cal fiasco to me, my daughter was 14 when Cal was hired. She was really into UK basketball. I had never saw a game live and so I took her to a game Cal’s first year, and every year until 2016. My dad had never been to a UK game either, but he came with us once, don’t remember the year, but TaM beat us. That’s the only game he ever saw live. My daughter cherishes that day still. But she is no longer interested, but glad three generations made it once. I have hope of 3 generations doing it again, but it’s a long shot, for many reasons lol.
