I think Michigan has more turnovers this half than rebounds.
Im Not worried about those two getting beat off the dribble at all…. It’s the switch, or if we try to go over when Brea or Carrs guy sets a screen and they get down hill immediately.
That’s where I think we have to use the similar gameplan as we did in the 2nd half of Gonzaga. Nembdhart torched us in the first half due to going over and switching. Once we started going under and sagging, he was all but negated. Fland and Wagner only have athleticism (Thiero too). If they get athletic mismatches off of switching, then they can be effective. Not worried about a straight up 1v1 against Butler or Oweh.
But I fully trust Pope to see the same thing as soon as he watches a few games of film in Arkansas and strategize accordingly

One of those games was against Arkansas when he went 6-7 from the floor, 4-5 from 3 for 19 points.

He’s not a terrible shooter, but if they rely on him being the outside threat it won’t work. He’s playing better for sure but he can’t get to the rim against most teams like this and finish. I always thought he may be a decent college player but he’s looked almost identical to last year to far. I defended him a lot last year but he never came thru.

There’s that patented 2-3 defenders running at the shooter Cal’s teams do.
They don't really need him to carry their three point shooting though. As a team they're shooting better than we are from 3. Z, Fland, and a healthy Davis are all 40%+ from 3. DJ just has to hit enough to keep things honest, and he's done more than that this year.
They don’t shoot nearly as much as we do and by the end of the year let’s see what it says.
