I doubt it's real. I don't think Tubby made enough as a coach to give away $3 million. I know he donated $1 million to High Point a few years ago, but that's his alma mater where he played and coached. $3 million seems quite high for a guy who I don't think ever made more than that in a season when he coached.

He definitely made enough over his entire coaching career to give away that much. He's probably had several excellent investment opportunities over the years as well.

Not even close. From 1997 - 2000, he made about $1 million a year. 2001 - 2002, he made about $1.5 million a year and 2003 - 2007 he made about $1.75 million a year.

So, he made about $15 million over his career at UK.
