Will be a legend at Kentucky. I'll hang up and listen.
He's getting some good minutes as a freshman and will be here a while. Why do you say so?
Felt like he was in over his head defensively today. But I also feel that he’ll be in th3 gym all summer. And we’ll see a different Perry next year. Will be a legend at Kentucky. I'll hang up and listen.
He needs to work on his defensive foot work, he stand up too much when on the ball. Will be a legend at Kentucky. I'll hang up and listen.
He will be a major contributor in his time at Lexington. It's easy to seeIf he is more than a sixth man it probably isn’t a good sign for us getting to final fours.
That being said, he is improving a lot.
Loved watching Hawkins. I think Perry will contribute similarly but wouldn’t be surprised if he plays more.Dominque Hawkins averaged almost 20 MPG on the 2017 team as a senior.
Will Perry be as good or better than Hawkins?
Is that you, Billy Clyde?Only if he gets 10% quicker. Maybe but doubt it.
Yes!Dominque Hawkins averaged almost 20 MPG on the 2017 team as a senior.

Well ... the answer to this question seems obvious to me. Perry's father wanted the team that he was coaching to win the KHSAA State Tournament ... and they did ! Travis could make his most valuable contribution to the team's success as a shooting guard ... and he did !His dad was his coach. He had to know his only shot was to be a point guard at his height. Why not have him play point his whole life instead of shooting guard?
I think Pope made a mistake by not playing him earlier in the season. Will be a legend at Kentucky. I'll hang up and listen.
He’s not, but he’s becoming pretty good at impersonating one. Maybe he either is a backup PG next year or just slides over from the 2 sometimes but it’s valuable experience to have.Perry is NOT a pg. he's an undersized shooting guard and being a catch and shoot 3 guy next year and beyond will make his offense look a lot better. Thankfully next year we'll get a starting PG in the portal with Lewis 2nd and Jasper Johnson the third string PG.

I think they are similar in terms of physique but to me the similarities end there. I love the trajectory of Perry but he’s definitely a more finesse score-first type of combo guy, whereas Ford was a bulldog, gritty pure playmaker who was an excellent catch and shoot guy. Perry will be a shot creator for himself in ways that Ford wouldn’t be able to touch but it’s hard to see Perry ever improving his defensive awareness to match what Ford provided. Also, Ford wasn’t just a good passer —- he’s in the conversation of best passer in school history and I don’t think those types of instincts are something that you grow into as much as something innate to a player. A Ford comparison is much too lofty imho. Can he be a Steven Ashworth type? Can he be a Ritchie Farmer, with better shot creation? Those, to me, are better baseline comparisons. For those that go back to the early 90's. can he be as good as Travis Ford? I think they are similar.
