With the transfer portal the way it is I would always go to UK if I had the offer as a top in state player. You can always transfer out if you figure out you can't contribute at that level, and you still got a chance to wear the uniform.

Gotta say, seems like Cal has recruiting back on track. Even guys we didn’t supposedly have lead with are choosing us. Seems like early in his tenure where information is being kept closer, no rumors like when Justus was here. We are also targeting better players IMO.

I bet the success Reed is having early played into his decision. They played against each other so I’d have to think Travis having a good game, while college will be harder defensively he had to feel like he could play here too.
Because having five stars does NOT ensure they contribute anything. If you need it explained further, pay closer attention to all the teams that beat Kentucky with far less sexy rosters.
