I'm not doing the paywall for Jon Hale's article, so I thought I'd look on every depth chart of the guys we lost.
None of these guys are even starting at lower tier schools. We really did shed a lot of "dead weight" and it shows our recruiting did have a lot of misses over a few cycles. We really got better IMO in terms of recruiting high schoolers and portal guys. The Wade Twins sure made a big mistake....they'd be in a better position here...

-La'Vell Wright-APSU: Retired?
-Ardell Banks-Kent St.: 2nd string
-Luke Fulton-Kent St.: not on the depth chart?

-Kaiya Sheron-UTMartin: 2nd string
-Dekel Crowdus-Hawaii: 3rd string (3 catches + TD in week 1 assume he'll move up)

-Martez Thrower-Ga State: Not on the depth chart
-Jamarius Dinkins-Purdue: 3rd string
-Zay Cummings-U6: 3rd string
