Lovett, Lovett was the best reciever this year stats wise, burden is talent wise, but Lovett is the one who entered the portal

I would strongly argue UK needs edge help...especially if JJ Weaver does not come back.
1. JOrdan Wright is gone...so that leaves JJ Weaver and Destin Wade at the Jack.
2. I don't know if Afari is big enough to play SAM yet....and I'd prefer to leave Wade at the Jack.
So maybe Herron is worth a look to see if he fits the bill.

Here is Will Levis numbers on the season as a comparison:
2,406 yards, 19 TD, 10 INT, 65.4% completion rate
Mertz had only a 57.3% completion rate.
I'm not at all impressed by Mertz's numbers. And I am even less impressed when I hear comments about his play from those who have seen him in action. I hope we can do better than Mertz. I would rather have pretty much any of the other QB names that have been mentioned as possibilities.
Bama had will Anderson at Jack. Dallas Turner came in and was his backup. They moved him over to Sam as the starter and he's done great. Will most likely move back next year. UK could possiblely do the same with Wade. Hopefully Fearbry will be ready next year too

Yeah..... Coach Prime introduced his son as the new QB at the press conference....... then said he had to earn it.
OK, then....I would head out as well.
Prime quickly qualified that his son would have to earn it, but the cat was out of the bag by that point. Transfers out will make it easier to “earn.”
