When the ooc schedule got released I circled that week UK had to play at Clemson and then go west to play Zaga. I’ve been focusing more on the SEC schedule, which will be brutal, but one stretch is looking like it will be a doozy.

Feb 22 @ Bama
Feb 26 @ OU
March 1 vs Auburn

That’s currently three top 15 teams in a week’s time. SEC will be a battle every game.

Don't forget Arky is in there too. And while not as highly ranked, that will be a huge emotional game.

It will be an interesting one. Huge deal for UK fans and Cal. Pope will understand it, not sure it will register as much with the players.

That’s another tough week stretch though. Ark game is sandwiched between @Tenn and then @Ole Miss.

There will be no nights off in the SEC this year. None.

I think the players will understand it. They will want to get the win for BBN.

So what's it going to take to win the SEC regular season? 11-5? 10-6? Going to take a herculean effort.
I think Auburn may go 13-3 if Broome returns soon. Both Kentucky and Auburn I think have an advantage schedule wise. Kentucky and Auburn have only two road games versus the big five teams, which I’m considering Auburn, Tennessee, Florida, Kentucky and Florida. I don’t see anyone winning in Neville Arena and I think Auburn will win most of their road games. I think if we can win all of our home games and pull off a road win in Starkville, we will be SEC champs.

The thing is, w/ the SEC this year, you can find those brutal 3 game stretches all through the rest of the season.

Auburn is the best team in the league with Broome healthy.

But the rest of the league isn’t far behind.

Going to be a war every night.

Florida being 2 of your top 5 teams certainly does make it tricky haha. Who's really your 5th?

Oh I don’t have Florida as second. I wasn’t stating those in order.
This is my order:
1.) Auburn
2.) Kentucky
3.) Tennesee
4.) Alabama
5.) Florida

…as of today, although Bama needs to get their stuff figured out and who knows what happens with the Broome situation

I just hope with this brutal league the SEC office tells officials to cut down on the physicality. The 3 teams that foul 5 times every possession need to be roped in.
Tennessee is the worst offender and are ranked #1 so I don’t see it. SEC may be a MASH unit if it’s allowed.

You could have a three game stretch of Georgia, State, and Ole Miss and that is brutal this year. Just insane depth. Great coaches, great players, great atmospheres all over the conference. It just means more!

That’s actually an outstanding point. If the league wants to represent well in March, it would do them well to clean up the wrestling matches. Else all sixteen teams will look like the Tune Squad did at halftime of Space Jam

i think Auburn and UT are a clear cut above the rest. They are currently 1 and 2 in Kenpom and most systems.

I could see them breaking away from the pack. Like 13 wins for those teams.

Then i just see a bunch of teams hovering around .500. Florida, Alabama , UK.............I think all in that second tier of teams.

The thing is with the skill level on all teams, home court will be massive. In a large majority of these games, that will really be the only thing differing the two teams.

I will venture to guess when it's all said and done the SEC will have the highest or one of the highest win pct for the home team.

protecting home court is massive.

They’re not a cut above. UK is right there with them.

Are they gonna cancel their other 2 games?
Pretty sure there are 18 conference games

The SEC will fold up like a cheap table when the going gets tough.

Only UK will represent.
Explain how and why you would ever make such a stupid statement? There're 5 maybe 6 teams that will not be folding up. You must put the bottle down or stop letting your middle school child post on this board.

That all depends on officiating.
Tennessee fouls 5 times each possession. It’s coached. When the Tournament comes it won’t be allowed and they will flame out.
