Most of us have known that TJ is as talented as any in the Cal era. He's enormous, with strength and agility, plus skill to post up, face up, shoot a few 3s. Dude's got game. He set the tone for the acclaimed 2012 frosh by scoring 50+ in the blue/white game as a soph. He made AD a much better defender by always taking the stronger opponent and being our muscle in the paint. Sure he can have some issues on the court but who doesn't. He's really found his game as a versatile PF. To start this year he came out and refused to be the 5th scoring option on a stacked Rockets team because he's that good and nobody can deny it.

But wow have circumstances gone against him lately!

First he had the freakishly unpredictable nerve injury in his leg, where he couldn't feel his toes and was unable to play for months, but he works back into shape and is getting beastly again then now a lung injury. How many NBA players have you heard getting a lung injury? They thought it was ribs at first, but later diagnosed a partially collapsed lung. Reports are he'll be back in a week or so.

Another of Cal's Cats that's got a really bright future ahead. If he and AD eventually stay healthy and do what they're able in the NBA, the legend of that 2012 team will continue to grow...

I'm sure we all hope both these guys (and the rest of our former players) can get healthy for the playoffs.

GO CATS!!!!
