I said I'd like to see Barker last week, that Towles couldn't take us where we wanted to go, I'll admit I was WAY off on the game tonight, he proved me wrong completely. He plays like this all year and I'll gladly say I looked remedial wanting to see Barker.

Yes...can't really complain about any part of his game today. That's how Patrick has to play. Hitting the flats, beautiful throws across the middle, feeling the pocket.

If Pat can consistently play like that, watch out.

Imagine that...

Fry that crow up. It'll go well with the Cardinals we crisp up in a month or so.

Glad Towles proved he could play. I was critical of him last week. He was not timid this week and played with a lot of confidence.

As I said earlier, the real fans that had honest criticisms will be here tonight, there will be some we will not see again, until PT has another off night.

I'm munching away. At the same time though everyone knew he could play this way. It's his consistency that sucks. He's liable to revert back in a week or two. But I like A1 sauce with mine. Makes crow taste good!

Tonight is the first night I've seen Towles put together a full game. I've always been on his case for not being able to make short and intermediate throws. He did that tonight and we flourished as an offense. I hope he can continue this consistency he had tonight.

Not just the ones that wrote him off thru out the week but how about in the game thread after our first drive.. NUMEROUS people announcing that the game was over..wish someone would go back and quote them all

Towles looked good tonight, played smart and confident.
The kid has all the tools physically to play in the NFL someday, as he showed tonight. He just has to play and not over think the situation.

Towels key will be consistency. He played great in a handful of games last year, but then would lay an egg. He needs to stay strong next week against Eastern and then after a week off he will be in a high pressure game against Auburn and he will have to show up big for us to have a chance.

I'd like to have my crow with a little honey-mustard sauce please. Great game by Patrick. He not only played like an SEC quarterback but a top tier SEC quarterback.

Happy as hell for the kid.

But like most have said, he needs to do this consistently.

He had a huge game against Mississippi State last season, but couldn't sustain it.

I think he will

Still would like to see Barker get some snaps against EKU.

I did that once last year. Thread was quickly deleted.

Hopefully this game will calm him down for the remainder of the season. Last week he deserved every one's wrath. You could tell he was pressing and making wrong decisions.
This game is much better, he could still clean up some things. Great job Pat, hope you continue to play this relaxed.

I think this was the issue. Wrath - Not just football criticism like most fans do.

Florida showed today that their defense is incredible. Our oline improved today, had some bad series, but nowhere near the poor level of last week. And no dropped passes.

PT had a subpar game for sure, but it was how awful the "wrath" was regarding him and the questionable football knowledge for wanting to bench the starter in such a tight game (with a RSF with zero snaps) and the coaches knowing what PT was capable of.

Many of these same football geniuses were touting how SC and UF sucks today.

Those two wins today and PT's performance was the hat trick to shut up those who were only here to smear and cause issues.

Of course they will return at the first hint of negativity, they always do

I have been critical of his throws and the drops by receivers. They all definitely played better tonight. They needed to to keep their jobs, and I'm glad they did because I think they are talented enough to do good things. We get a win. Go Cats.

I criticized him after last weeks game, and deservedly so, but he played a pretty good game today. The thing is playing well one game doesn't make him consistent which is what most of his criticism was about. If he continues to play like he did tonight, then I will happily eat crow all season long.

The O line played a lot better tonight too. Towles was running for his life a lot last week. Tonight he had time and then some to find somebody open. I criticized him last week too but let's give the o line some props too. Lots of beautiful passes by towles tonight

I've been critical of his accuracy and consistency, but didn't attack him as a person or wish him ill. He played a great game and I'm really happy for him. Kentucky can win a lot of football games this year if Towles can consistently play as well as he did tonight. Lots of other players on the offense had a great game as well. JoJo, Juice, Conrad, Baker, and the defense had nice games tonight. Only real criticism was Timmons on special teams. If that's the worst thing we can say about how the Cats played, then we know the team had a great game. Congrats to the team for a very nice effort.

Nobody plays like you want them to every night.... Anyway, here's your crow....

I've been critical based on the last 7 or 8 games . NOBODY was pulling harder for him tonight and I'm VERY happy for him . Keep it up Big Man !

I don't think anyone is here to smear PT name, only his lack of focus. I don't want to even call it a smear, but to point out his lack of control. He is pressing to hard to not make a mistake.
I do think he will be a better qb if he can keep his head on straight. That's all any fan can expect. Sure every one makes mistakes, and he made quite a few last week. He seem's to have gotten over his lack of focus this week, so I hope he will play this way the rest of the season. GBB

With much criticism, I've called for this win for months. It was an important hump to get over. We are better than UF, but we just weren't ready yet. Now we can go .500 for the remainder of the year and get a major bowl invite. The prize is dangling in front of them. All they have to do is take it. This win almost guarantees a bowl bid and more importantly, we will keep our recruiting class.

Played better. Still SLOW AS CHRISTMAS with his foot work and reads. Don't give him the Heisman just yet. A couple of sacks & interceptions and you'll be puking your crow...
