I spoke with experts on Beck's background from several markets who cover programs around the country for the word on Tim Beck's coaching history. Could he be a candidate for UK OC vacancy?

He would be an extremely disappointing hire. He was the scapegoat for Texas, and then he had to scramble off to NC State to find a job. We shouldn't trade our scapegoat for somebody else's.

Dunno. Sounds like Gran had more play-calling success before coming to UK than what Beck would bring. Always good to get a great recruiter though and I like what I just read about his QB development skillz.

1. Those are lateral moves. At best.

2. If Gatewood is the QB, it doesn’t matter who the OC is. UK could hire Sean Payton and still be at the bottom of the league in TO.
