FB Recruiting Three of four Rivals analysts pick Bamba to Texas

I guess Shaka has been playing the sympathy card and telling him he can be the guy that turned the program around, errrrr save his job.

Allen was playing the 4, that's what initially attracted Bamba I thought

Is this based on anything concrete or just a guess? Is there movement elsewhere? Crystal ball doesn't seem to have changed.

We will be fine with Humphries & Richards. Duke on the other hand could be in some serious need, with Jefferson gone, Giles gone, Bolden gone, and no Bamba (heh heh heh).

I will be disappointed if he doesn't come to UK. But if it ain't UK, I'd rather it be somewhere like Texas. I guess his friendship with Green and Diallo is not as strong as has been reported. We shall see.

If Bamba makes this mistake we really need Bam back but if not Johnson is a must. Gabriel, Richards, SKJ, Hump., and Wynard are more than capable of taking care of the 4-5 spots, Vanderbilt and Washington can play some 4 as well. Johnson at the 2 and 3 will see all the minutes he can handle. A line up of Green, Diallo, Johnson, Vanderbilt, and Hum or Richards will be hard to handle.

If he goes, at least he'll be somewhere he cannot hurt us in the tournament. He can ask Zimmerman and Malik Newman how well the season goes when a star comes in to turn it around. And Bamba is not a Ben Simmons or Fultz where he is so good the scouts do not care, he definitely needs exposure and a successful year to make his stock surge.

So Im guessing it comes down to who stays in the draft. Bam or allen but what if they both stay in the draft or both come back. It's like a damn drama movie we are watching.

I think Bamba should go ahead and commit, then let Bam make the decision best for him, which if to go forward and get in the draft.

He's worthy of a #1 more than Skal and Orton was at their time. I'd take him in ATL if he was still on the board, which will be around 19-21.

Yeah, I wouldn't put much stock on what those three are thinking. It's all assumptions at this point and there isn't a reason or evidence to believe that they will be heading to Texas. As for UK, I personally still believe that it's his destination point due to Cal and his relationship with Quade and Hami.

Keep in mind they're picks are not based on any new info. Most have thought UK or Texas for awhile.

Chad Ford says that the chatter at Hoop Summit among NBA scouts was Bamba will be at UK.

It's all educated guessing right now.

I know what this is. You see it about half the time a kid is rumored to one school for months at a time.

Wiggins to KU, Shabazz to UCLA, Zimmerman to UNLV, Bolden to Duke, Swanigan to Purdue, Brown to Cal, Ingram to Duke, Newman to MSST. Just a few late deciding recruits that don't fit your narrative.
The only one of those that was a rumored strong lean to UK for a very long stretch was Newman.

This rarely happens with kids like that (the only cases I can think of that fit that description are Newman and Mudiay - and the latter had some shady stuff going on, so who knows what factored into that).
