Florida got crushed by Texas, Miami down late Georgia Ole Miss - Vandy South Carolina and Indiana - Michigan getting ready to start

How does the acc break a tie between 7 and 1 Miami and Clemson?

Assuming both win out and smu wins out. Would be funny if Miami didn't make acc title game.

They are a fraud. They could have easily lost 3 or 4 games already this season.

What IU is doing is nothing short of amazing and one of the greatest sports stories in the modern era.

Told everyone a couple weeks ago to prepare to see IU in the playoffs...

Now it might be time to start preparing to see them upset OSU, get a high seed, and advance.

I used to say they would be a great OOC game. Nope...no thanks, not anymore.

Cignetti would hang 83 on Stoops.

Yep, when your schedule is 108th you really look great. I'm proud for them, but they would be lucky to be .500 in the SEC. I Can't stand Ohio St. and would love to see the Hoosiers win.

Indiana trying to win its 10th game for its first 10 win season ever. Only 3 power 4 teams haven’t won 10. Indiana- Iowa State and Vanderbilt

They can only play who is on the schedule.

Bet the sec team they face in first round of playoff to cover easily though. Easy money.

They're playing with James Madison talent and a new coach.

I'd rather be undefeated than under .500 in a "tough conference" that really isn't all that tough given the fact Vandy and SC are doing okay in it.

SEC beating each other up. Not sure how many teams we'll get into the CFP. Meanwhile, Big Ten teams Oregon, Indiana, and Penn State have NO games against each other.

UT will be in if 10 and 2, uga will be in if they finish 10 and 2, Texas will probably be in, winner of lsu or bama will be in if they finish 10 and 2. Those are my best guesses.

Ole miss very much alive as is a and m.

SEC should have added more teams would have helped out with getting more teams into the playoff without beating each other up along the way.

Pretty happy Georgia and Bama both have two losses. Of course this year there’s a 12 team playoff now so they will probably both still make it.

Sec and big 10 need to swing their Johnsons around and eliminate the stupid conference champion requirements.

It should be best 12 and then best 14 (rumor to go to 14 in 2026, idk why they don't to 16).

If the other peon conferences don't like it then just break away. I'd rather see a 20 team sec and 20 team big 10 and top 10 teams each make the playoff. I'm not a purist so I'd love that. Some years UK would make that playoff.

They wouldn't lose to auburn...

Point is if uk took their schedule we wouldn't be 10-0

With their coach we would be.

In other news, Vandy getting drilled at home by SC and will likely lose out and finish 6 and 6. I know we grade vandy on a cdc scale due to their academics but for all the hype on this board and nationally, making the who gives a crap bowl isn't very impressive to me.

I disagree. It doesn’t even serve a purpose considering you just spent the whole season determining who the best SEC team was and Big Ten. Gatekeeping so we never have anyone that upsets a big boy is not remotely interesting to anyone but the SEC.

And if you’ve already lost three games and no conference title, you got no business saying you deserve a spot for the title.

A 3 loss sec team would be heavily favored say an 11 and 1 Indiana team. Plus there won't be any 3 loss sec teams in a 12 team playoff.

They are gonna have 4 or 5 10 and 2 teams to choose from anyways.

So the two teams playing for the championship could be playing in their 16th or 17th game? That's too much, imo. 16 teams effectively kills the bowl system, too (several need to be weeded out in any case). So, UK goes 8-4 with a good team but does not qualify for the CFP. No 'prize' like a good bowl bid to reward a good year? You'd see a bunch of opt outs and TV audience would surely be reduced (sort of like the NIT tournament vs March Madness) fi they did keep a handful of postseason bowls. But, surely, not bowls that are now matching up 2 6-6 teams. Can't see many sponsors lining up to pay big bucks to teams not in the playoff. But, what do I know?

Not sure when it will happen but I firmly believe there will definitely be a subset of FCS form a Championship League. No way the Wake Forest, Rutgers, Northwestern, Cal, BYU, Tx Tech, etc can afford bigger and bigger NIL to compete with the big dollar B10, SEC schools. MAC, Sun Belt, AAC, etc. are all going to realize they can't and don't want to compete and will divide into conferences that are a lot more regional than now. You'd have Troy playing Houston, So Alabama, UCF, maybe Miss St, Tulane, etc. Realistically, UK will not be able to compete money-wise with OSU, MI, ND, OU, TX, AL, TN, GA, etc. Maybe we opt out, form a conference where we'd play Missouri, Vandy, WVa, UVa, IU, IL, Northwestern, Cincy, UofL. Still good football with natural rivalries and close enough proximity that visiting fans can make the trek. I think that would be interesting vs 'rivalries' like Oregon vs MD, USC vs Rutgers, TX vs Vanderbilt, Cal vs Clemson, etc.

Idc about the bowls. It's all about the playoff to me. Just like every other sport.

If the sec champion makes it to the title game this season they will play 16 games. It's already here man. So the two teams in sec and big 10 title games may have to play 17?

Big deal. These are paid mercenaries. They are semi pro athletes. Time to put on the big boy pants.
