This is one of the reasons I can't stand Mitch!

Thanks but I don't think the publisher expects those things at all. There was a time when he did but somewhere along the way he seems to have changed what he wants/expects this board to be. I have seen some of the vilest words directed toward our basketball coach on the game threads imaginable and no one seemed to mind. Same towards our baseball and football coaches. I have seen a poster advocate for violence to be brought upon basketball officials and their families multiple times on hob, a paid forum! .
I have seen multiple posts where folks urged football recruits to attend any school besides UK. Too many of these posts for them to not be noticed by mods or JR himself. Sorry, I really appreciate that you mods try to keep things respectable here but unless direction and expectations from the top return to what they were a few years ago you are limited in what you can do.
Well it's just the way things are here and that's fine, I seldom post anymore and have effectively dropped my HOB membership, just riding out a free three months, I just think it's too bad that it is actually way worst imo on HOB than on the free boards.
I have said my peace and I told JR one time that if this is what he wants this place to be, so be it, it's his board not mine! His name goes on it, not mine thankfully.
I understand your concerns, because posts are preapproved except for new members, some offending posts may never be seen by a mod for hours, days or ever. For that reason we encourage people to use the Report feature to bring our attention to issues immediately. As a Premium member you have clout, so I would encourage you to express your concerns to JR. Also I'm sending you a PM related to this.

I did the same. HOB turned into Rafters, to the point it wasn't worth the time to scroll through the garbage and arguments.

click on the link at the bottom of the page that says terms of service.
In addition the publisher expects proper decorum - no profanity, porn, racist language, no arguing, name calling, trolling etc. I think you get the idea.
Question: Do paying members have more grace when they break the rules than non-paying members?

Premium members are held to the same standard as non paying members in that violating our standards could result in having a post deleted, a warning, a thread ban etc. However a lengthy or permaban get's trickier since they have paid in advance for a service, but just because they are paid members doesn't mean they can't get a permaban - they certainly can and I've handed out a few.

Thanks so much for the response! I appreciate your thankless work here, and defending football.
