I don't think Ole Roy is lying. Nothing is going to happen to UNC from the NCAA. Seems pretty obvious as other programs with minor issues get immediate notification of sanctions.

The NCAA is withholding any sanctions on NC(cheat) until the current NCAA is dissolved and a new ruling body for only the power 5 conferences is established i.e., NCFAA(North Carolina Forgiven Athletic Association).
Then all is peachy and ole Roy is safe! The Carolina way lives on.

That's not really true. Look at Syracuse. That investigation dragged on and on and then they were hit fairly hard.

It's all wishful thinking from Kentucky and Duke fans. The program should have had the death penalty, especially since they are not denying it occurred. But, I am convinced they will hammer the women's program maybe the football program, but sorry it ain't going to happen with the men's basketball program. You did read Emmert's comments from the past, didn't you? He already pretty much put the NCAA out of the picture saying it was an academic not NCAA issue. Of course, b.s. but it sets up things to what seems like an obvious outcome.

P.S. Nothing would satisfy me as much as being completely wrong!

"Didn't the UNC investigation happen before Syracuse's?"

The NCAA started looking at Cuse in 2012 and sent the official notification in March of 2013. UNC investigation was reopened in 2014.

For the record, Emmert's comments are almost irrelevant because the power to determine violations is a committee decision and not his. He may well influence the committee but we should hope that he stays out of it and allows the committee to do what it is commissioned to do.

As for putting the NCAA out of the picture, did you read the notice of allegations?

And Preacher did you read the articles about a month ago stating that the main violations occurred with the "Women's" program. Seemed obvious how this was playing out.

I could be mistaken, but I think the only articles trying to pin it on women's basketball were from local UNC hacks like Art Chansky.

The dead dome.

Where everything is optional.

Well, not one thing. The cheater that it's named after is dead (we think). Now, if "The Nose" somehow comes back from the dead, the first thing he will do is apply some supernatural form of cheating. The Four Corners will be used as well. That, and telling lies.

Wow

As long as UNC is dragging this thing out by finding new things to self-report, if he did tell him that he was probably correct because they won't get hit till AFTER next season.

I know you're not a fan of Dean Smith, but making fun of him now being dead is over the line.

He was I don't think.

Although, I do think it's ironic that he died from a brain disease leaving him incapable of learning or remembering. Sorta like all of his former players.

You know, I think you have a point. Everyone knows he supported that mind numbing offense. Its probably more important to correct the record and point out how he supported academic fraud and did nothing to correct it. Being the high and mighty individual he was supposed to be, he'd want that record set straight since it covered up while he lived.

Or maybe not. Then he wouldn't be so high and mighty? A bit of a conundrum, wouldn't you say?

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I guess I misread it when I was exhausted after a long day. Yes, I'm not a fan of the four-corners offense myself, even more not a fan of the whole athletic-academic scandal, and most of all, I'm also not a fan of people making fun of Rupp being dead.

So far UNC*** has gotten away with their behavior except taking a hit in recruiting. Roy has nothing to lose by lying. He and his university are already corrupt. What do they have to lose?

Old Roy most likely offered him an "A" just for showing up on campus.
Shoot man, if he would've just waited for the weekend of their midnight madness, he could be flying home on that Sunday night halfway to his doctorate.

What Roy tells all recruits: Whether you go to class or not, I still get bonuses for your performance.

He's not lying when he says that!
