The Ukraine war. (Yes, we'll mind our manners)

Can you point me to whatever declaration or policy statement names Russia as an adversary?

Can you explain to me how their control of Ukraine would enable them to threaten us any more than it did when it was Soviet territory?

Can you explain why we should fund an unwinnable war in perpetuity?

Can you offer anything other than your TDS? Do you have any of your own thoughts that aren’t centered around the central premise that opposition to this war means support of Russia?
Or when they used their “contractors” to attack a special forces group they thought they had outnumbered.

Russia is our fing enemy.

From a 2018 report on Russian meddling

Despite Russia’s history of interference, however, it is apparent that in 2014, Russia launched a distinct and multifaceted campaign to undermine and influence the American democratic process. The goals of this campaign are clear:

  • To sow political and social discord in the United States;
  • To undermine and challenge the American and Western democratic system as a model to emulate for transitioning democracies; and
  • To foster ties and support among powerful voices within the party that Russian hawks have traditionally dominated, with the aim to soften that party’s stance.
This campaign, which is still ongoing, consists of five mutually reinforcing lines of effort

And it’s succeeded, you got 20% of American parroting kremlin propaganda lines. While Russia get the US to roll back global influence programs and Russia gets the space to breath with added resources and influence.

I hope you are just trying to bait with your silly ad hominem arguments, because otherwise it just makes you look simple-minded.

So, give us your opinions.

Are you suggesting that an agreement for minerals that are necessary for the energy and tech needs of our world is bad for the U.S.?

Are you saying having Ukraine as a partner with the U.S. is bad for Ukraine or good for Russia?

Are you saying that only other countries should get a return on their investment?

Just fill us in without the weak attempts to demean.
That isn't an ad hominem argument and the point is somewhat valid. I've voted for Trump 3 times now but to be perfectly honest, he's concerning me this time. His shouting match was childish at best.

(If you haven’t read about the impact studied on Twitter when there was a Russia internet outage, it’s a pretty interested read and insight to the challenges we’re facing)

Zelensky tells Brett Baer is so many words that he won't apologize. He thinks he can get the media to do his bidding. The guy is delusional.
Zelensky does not want to end the war. He has received over $400 billion worldwide and can't tell you where most of it went. He is relevant until this war is over. He needs to go now.

You're no more specific on your side of the bean-counting than Zelensky is. You think he's their accountant? He's been spending all of his time trying to defend his country, and talking with the rest of the world about what's been happening. I know you'd like for him to go away, it doesn't fit your narrative.

How so many in this country can't see that Russia is our enemy, is beyond me. Putin is literally sitting in the effing White House :(

Foreign adversaries including Russia and China have recently directed their intelligence services to ramp up recruiting of US federal employees working in national security, targeting those who have been fired or feel they could be soon, according to four people familiar with recent US intelligence on the issue and a document reviewed by CNN.

A couple of public hangings will put an end to that!

We only get what information that is given out to us and right now, the numbers are over $400 billion from the world. The US leads with $128 billion. I don't think it is too much to ask for some idea as to what it was used for. I understand that no leader is the bean counter, but they have staff and cabinet members who should have that kind of information. I don't have an agenda other than what our money is being spent on. Yes, I think it would be best if he stepped down at this point and let someone else deal with the problem because I don't trust him.

That is where your agenda shows. Just because we don't like Zelensky does not mean we are Russian backers, far from it. Most of us want the war over so that it does not spread any further. Boomers such as myself hate Russia. I spent most of the cold war preparing to fight them while in the Army.

Do you consider Russia to be an ally?
Of course not. But making them an enemy is stupid. Pushing the threat of NATO to their doorstep guaranteed that, and for no good reason.

This has all played out as predicted. It’s over. Russia is going to get what they set out to take. Why anybody thought that could be changed is a mystery.

High IQ people know it would be better to be allies with Russia rather than Ukraine. Low IQ people want to risk nuclear war over that lil punk Z.
I mean, Elon Musk has revealed that our own government is a bigger kleptocracy than Russia ever dreamed of. It’s hard to imagine why people want to push us to the brink of war.

Wow, it's like we've been saying this the ENTIRE time

Can't wait for Richie to tell us Jake tapper and his pro ukranian source are actually putin puppets

Ok, so, how many nukes does Russia have pointed at us? NATO is already at their door. I wonder why Putin didn't attack Finland since his excuse is NATO expansion. That excuse is bs, by the way.

We've already covered this, he didn't go into finland because all of his soldiers were already in Ukraine. And yet another reason the "he'll take over all of Europe, is a fantasy.

Also have you guys ever glanced at a map. If the rest of nato wanted to come into Russia would they want to travel in a straight line if you started from Britain or would they want to needlessly travel up around and down through finland?

If you're driving from lex to Cincinnati. Do you drive straight up on 75 or do you drive on 64 to louisville then over to 71.

So which country you think has more value?

You should call Putin and tell him it’s BS. See if you can convince him.

You might find out that what you think doesn’t matter to Russia.

No one today with any ounce of respect believes what happened today in the Oval Office was a good thing for anyone but Russia.

There are 2 reasons Russia invaded Ukraine, to expand its reach to their cold war boundaries (they thought taking Ukraine would be easier and could move north soon after) and they're bat shit stupid / power hungry.

Russia is controlled by an insane dictator, is one of the most corrupt countries on the planet, and is actually economically and militarily frail. Anyone supporting them against Ukraine in this gargles russian balls for breakfast. This includes Trump.

I don’t know how any American could watch that whole video and defend Zelensky’s behavior.

No one is saying Zelensky's behavior was exemplary. What they are saying, and correctly, is that Trump and Vance were flaccid micropenises. A complete clown show of feckless turdation. the tail end of a Russian human centipede.

Its clear the Kentucky Comrade Club just thinks you roll over and let one of your largest adversaries secure more resources to leverage against you and your allies.

I just wish this ridiculous attitude would admit they want to go to war. Just say it and quit acting like there is a pathway to defeating Russia without US forces on the ground dying for Ukraine. Ukraine will not win this war without other countries joining the war. So, if you don’t want US forces, you just want prolonged war and death and Ukraine to ultimately fall to Russia.

Big talk when it’s the lives and money of other people you want to waste.

You going over there to fight? No, you are not. And won’t. And because of that, it’s best not to call other men feckless.

Wrong. It was good for the us and that's what matters.

you support transgender infants. So America really doesn’t care what you think. Go fight in your war. But you won’t. Feckless. That’s gold.

It’s easy for Americans to play politics with Ukraine. “I am with Ukraine.” I know a handful of Americans who can say that and mean it, because they are on the ground in the war for Ukraine (or in Ukrainian or Polish hospitals). But, for most Americans and their bumper sticker virtue signaling slogans, this is a BS comment. Mainly because, as most sane people have known for the last 3 years, the odds of Ukraine winning this war by simply attaining munitions and aid from other countries is very very very low. We have seen the future and Ukraine loses without this becoming a war that includes the deaths of soldiers from more countries. All of the allusions to Chamberlain on this thread are predictions of a WW 3. Only with the deaths of soldiers not from Ukraine and Russia can Ukraine win this war.
