The Ukraine war. (Yes, we'll mind our manners)

Can you point me to whatever declaration or policy statement names Russia as an adversary?

Can you explain to me how their control of Ukraine would enable them to threaten us any more than it did when it was Soviet territory?

Can you explain why we should fund an unwinnable war in perpetuity?

Can you offer anything other than your TDS? Do you have any of your own thoughts that aren’t centered around the central premise that opposition to this war means support of Russia?
Or when they used their “contractors” to attack a special forces group they thought they had outnumbered.

Russia is our fing enemy.

From a 2018 report on Russian meddling

Despite Russia’s history of interference, however, it is apparent that in 2014, Russia launched a distinct and multifaceted campaign to undermine and influence the American democratic process. The goals of this campaign are clear:

  • To sow political and social discord in the United States;
  • To undermine and challenge the American and Western democratic system as a model to emulate for transitioning democracies; and
  • To foster ties and support among powerful voices within the party that Russian hawks have traditionally dominated, with the aim to soften that party’s stance.
This campaign, which is still ongoing, consists of five mutually reinforcing lines of effort

And it’s succeeded, you got 20% of American parroting kremlin propaganda lines. While Russia get the US to roll back global influence programs and Russia gets the space to breath with added resources and influence.

I hope you are just trying to bait with your silly ad hominem arguments, because otherwise it just makes you look simple-minded.

So, give us your opinions.

Are you suggesting that an agreement for minerals that are necessary for the energy and tech needs of our world is bad for the U.S.?

Are you saying having Ukraine as a partner with the U.S. is bad for Ukraine or good for Russia?

Are you saying that only other countries should get a return on their investment?

Just fill us in without the weak attempts to demean.
That isn't an ad hominem argument and the point is somewhat valid. I've voted for Trump 3 times now but to be perfectly honest, he's concerning me this time. His shouting match was childish at best.

Or their continued bots farms targeting and reposting fake news or negative swarming adversarial accounts

(If you haven’t read about the impact studied on Twitter when there was a Russia internet outage, it’s a pretty interested read and insight to the challenges we’re facing)

Zelensky tells Brett Baer is so many words that he won't apologize. He thinks he can get the media to do his bidding. The guy is delusional.
Zelensky does not want to end the war. He has received over $400 billion worldwide and can't tell you where most of it went. He is relevant until this war is over. He needs to go now.

You're no more specific on your side of the bean-counting than Zelensky is. You think he's their accountant? He's been spending all of his time trying to defend his country, and talking with the rest of the world about what's been happening. I know you'd like for him to go away, it doesn't fit your narrative.

How so many in this country can't see that Russia is our enemy, is beyond me. Putin is literally sitting in the effing White House :(

Foreign adversaries including Russia and China have recently directed their intelligence services to ramp up recruiting of US federal employees working in national security, targeting those who have been fired or feel they could be soon, according to four people familiar with recent US intelligence on the issue and a document reviewed by CNN.

A couple of public hangings will put an end to that!

We only get what information that is given out to us and right now, the numbers are over $400 billion from the world. The US leads with $128 billion. I don't think it is too much to ask for some idea as to what it was used for. I understand that no leader is the bean counter, but they have staff and cabinet members who should have that kind of information. I don't have an agenda other than what our money is being spent on. Yes, I think it would be best if he stepped down at this point and let someone else deal with the problem because I don't trust him.

That is where your agenda shows. Just because we don't like Zelensky does not mean we are Russian backers, far from it. Most of us want the war over so that it does not spread any further. Boomers such as myself hate Russia. I spent most of the cold war preparing to fight them while in the Army.

Do you consider Russia to be an ally?
Of course not. But making them an enemy is stupid. Pushing the threat of NATO to their doorstep guaranteed that, and for no good reason.

This has all played out as predicted. It’s over. Russia is going to get what they set out to take. Why anybody thought that could be changed is a mystery.
