I can see Michigan State, but what has Maryland done to show they deserve votes over UK? The Terps have had a few close calls against lesser comp paired with zero notable wins.

MSU is averaging 85 points a game and shooting 41% from 3 and 72% FTs as a team. I'm jealous.

After tonight I dont think we are the #1team. We might have the most raw talent but it needs to gel and play together way better. Mich st is looking really good and do not want to see them in March.

Usually the teams that look like world beaters in November don't look so great in March. Fastest out of the gate is like the kiss if death.
I wish the NCAAT was played in November last year. We would have 9 titles right now.

I'm actually thinking if Maryland wins at UNC somewhat impressively this week they could jump us in the polls. Then again, maybe the pollsters will forgive tonight given Ulis was out. Winning at UCLA might help as well, but I bet it will be close in the vote. That said, I think it is a moot point as I expect UNC to beat Maryland.

I wasn't directing anything negative at you or anyone. Just noting that polls are overblown and seem to be an ego gratification for sportswriters who have questionable knowledge anyway. When the time comes to start noticing polls, I pay closer attention to coaches polls.

I agree. On a neutral court, I think MSU and Kansas would give us the most trouble.

That's probably true. I am just being paranoid due to the pollsters hatred of Cal and UK (in my own mind anyways). I agree they probably won't steal enough votes to take it from us, b ut if they win at UNC with Paige back they will take a ton of our first place votes.

I have no issue with it. Honestly, MSU looks to be the best right now. Not sure about Maryland though.
