It sure is a wonderful thing to see, watching these players come along the way it has all went down.
Under CCC, seeing a freshman come into his own was pretty much expected, considering most all his players were greatly recruited 5 stars. This year, it's a totally different vibe and situation. In a lot of ways, it's a throwback to how it used to be.
For Chandler, I agree with most everyone here that has stated he just needs to shake off the rust. I think once he gets caught up to the speed and shakes off the rust, he is going to find his own comfort zone and role. He will be crucial for success.
Noah and Perry both have been really great to see come along. We need everyone to work hard collectively. I believe we're going to see some really awesome GREAT things from them both in years to come.
Seeing Coach Pope make the kind of changes and (I daresay) TWEAKS both in-game, and out of it, shows me we got the perfect man leading our team. His attitude and philosophy not just for the game, but in life, is far and away the most valuable gift he gives. Player and fan alike.
It's been a long time wince we have seen the kind of things from the players and coaches that we have this year.
Alongside the title and the final fours, and all the success in his first ten years here, giving Kentucky basketball another golden era, perhaps the greatest gift John Calipari has given our program is him stepping away, and giving Kentucky basketball a chance to move on without baggage other than him simply leaving. I appreciate him not throwing us Basketball bennies under the bus, as had become routine in recent years.
When a relationship sours the way it did, it's difficult moving on. He's made it easier. And kentucky fans were right in the final assessment of his coaching ability and philosophy. It appears perhaps the sport has left him on the sidelines. Adapt and overcome, it hard to do.
