Agreed he would have to be deaf, blind and dumb. However… we must keep in mind this is Mitch Barnhart. Calipari was 100% here until the end of time without the friendly Arkansas bailout. The silence is only deafening when the CATS WIN games. Outside of 20% of the fans, no one says anything when the football team wins. It's just the way it is here. Predominantly negative. Hasn't changed in 30 years and most likely won't ever at thos point.

Barnhart doesn't need to say anything until there's something to say. We have a coach. I'm sure we have a short lost of coaches we'd pursue in case Stoops were to take another job.

You don't pursue anyone while you have a coach you're planning on keeping, or can't afford to fire. Even with this clusterfk of a season, there's nothing to say right now. Can't just be reactionary and irrational when you have an AD position.

Barnhart can't wait until only basketball is being played. He will run and hide behind our basketball success. Thatis where his and UK's executives put their heart in, certainly not our football program.

He’s been AD for almost 25 years with 1 title. He’s not exactly performing on pace there.

Barnhart has multiple national titles at UK. Cal and Stoops are not even close to the same. Stoops has big time donors behind him, Cal had pissed them all off. Barnhart is not someone who puts stuff out for everyone to hear. He knows what is going on, and will demand some changes in the football staff, since firing Stoops would require getting money from Stoop friends to pay out the buyout. I don't get everyone wanting the AD fired when 1 coach underperforms. There are 23 different teams at UK. More them half are ranked. How many other ADs have over half their teams ranked? I would bet not many.

Barnhart is attached at the hip to Stoops from this point forward. So why in the world would he say anything right now because he knows that by saying anything it will bring light to that HORRIBLE buyout clause!!!!

Mitch knows how the fan base feels, he just can't fix it. So he will dodge and elude any and all of the heat coming this off-season.

He is HELPLESS at this point. Which means our football program and fans are STUCK in this mess for now and years to come.

I get the anger at Stoops, but what is MB supposed to say at this point? He’s barely had time to meet with Stoops, if he’s met with him at all yet.

I am ready for a younger, hungry AD that is going to embrace the new world of college sports, but not publicly commenting about a coach who was coaching on the sidelines about 31 hours ago isn’t something I’m going to roast the guy over.

If my AD has given me 9 million, is tolerant of 7-5 seasons, the legality of the communication is not relevant: Stoops apparent desire to flip to A & M is the issue.
