The ONLY reason I cheer for the conference is it boosts UK when we beat them

That is exactly why I want the SEC to do well in OOC play. Once conference play starts, I hope they all lose to each other, and especially to us.

And a lot of the Quad 2 wins are not ones that are likely to stick as conference play begins.

There is no reason Kentucky shouldn't win this league going away.

That reason would be John Calipari.

I dispensed with the notion that I should cheer for the SEC in basketball after became eminently clear that none of them cheer for us. In fact, most seem to take great joy in seeing UK lose the tournament (especially Tennessee fans).

The day the SEC embraces UK basketball and its status in the game the way it embraces and celebrates Alabama football and its status in the game is the day I
pull for SEC basketball.
