The schedule is favorable, the class is historic and UK has plenty of talent returning

In your scenario? No. No victories over anyone of significance

11-1, but beat Georgia, & go to SEC CG, then beat West - most definitely.

I fully accept UK is very capable of beating UGA, But at this point I believe UK will have to win the SEC to get in the 4 team playoff.

UGA got in without winning the SEC. But was dominant in the first 12 games, plus I will never be convinced UGA wasn't suppose to lose the SEC Championship game to get 2 teams in the playoff. UT will line up fast and run plays hoping to catch you off guard, UF will be sound, but likely not strong enough on the LOS to be a real threat in the East this year. Right now UGA is deep, but after spring practice who knows, we could lose 4-5 players that are in our 2 deep. Crackolina is flying high with their portal additions why wouldn't they be? But Shane Beamer is their coach, a great heerleader but he has beaten zero good teams.

Kentucky would have to go 12-1 to get in. Either lose one in the regular season & win in Atlanta (would be almost guaranteed to get in), or run the regular season and lose a close one to an undefeated or 1 loss West team (would need some help with other Power 5s not having undefeated or 1-loss champs since we don’t have a marquee non-conference matchup with Louisville being garbage).

My question is can we go 11-1 with lone loss coming to Georgia and make the Final Four this season?
It could happen, if everything aligned perfectly:

(1) Georgia shows itself dominant against all competition, but stumbles to a single digit victory in Lexington;

(2) The SEC West team comes into Atlanta with one (or more) regular bad season loss and Georgia trounces them:

(3) A buttload of the usual suspects end up with two losses, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Clemson, etc.

But I don’t foresee it.

Maybe not this season. But I believe ND made a big upgrade with their new coach and they will be a pain in the very near future. You know they will be in the playoffs with 1 loss. I think LSU went after the wrong coach, I am sure he has beaten 1 but I can't remember it. But I think he has lost to every SECZ team he faced at ND,

Big picture - any of the 14 (soon 16) SEC teams win the championship, they are in the 4 team CFB playoff. Even with 2 losses.

Right now only a very very few teams are given a "benefit of doubt" to get in if they don't win their conference. Bama, Georgia, Ohio St. I think Clemson has pissed away their benefit.

So now, UK last yr was 9-3, 5-3. Is it possible, Levis increases his level of play to NFL 1st or 2nd round performance, we get to 11-1, 7-1? Lose 1 on the road @Ole Miss or @Tenn, but beat Georgia at home?

Remote? Yeah. But not so damn outlandish or improbable.

The first loss of the season will eliminate us from consideration unless we win the SEC outright.

You can’t start from #22 in the rankings and get to position 4 unless you win every game OR win the SEC championship.

Just the way it is for every school not named Bama or Georgia right now.

The committee will take a 2 loss ND, Oklahoma, USC, TOSU, or Alabama before they take a one loss KY team.

That is baked into the rankings before the season begins.

That's why we need a 12 team playoff.

And so it begins (sigh)
Reality is we have to shore up a few postions for this to even be a legitimate dream. We lost our everything WR, no proof on what replaced him. (Even tayvion Robinson) he may be not nearly as good against sec corners, also see our CB, and OT woes.... But I'm sure we could roll my local middle school out there and OP will say
wE R bEaTinG gEoRgIa we gEtTinG dAt NaTty!!!!!!
Don't worry the basketball team will also go 40-0.
In reality I expect a season about like last maybe a game down between 7-9 regular season wins and a bowl. I'm sure I'll hit murdered for that claim but oh well.

UGA has lost a lot. It's doable boys...believe it or not.
But there's always so much that can change between now and then.

Billy Napier seems to be a wildcard...is he gonna have Florida roll out guns blazing?

Tennessee.....well if they still don't play defense then I still won't believe in them.

Until we figure out how to beat UT, we will never win the SEC East.

Just can't understand why we can't clear that hurdle.

Bama is expected to win west in 22, they return the Heisman winner, supposedly the best player in football in that LB. One of UGA's WR transferred there, good player but was hurt half the season with us. But apparently their OL isn't what the thought it would be, Young doesn't react well under quick pressure so they could lose a game or 2. UGA will take a step back defensively, but will take a step up offensively.

Ummm Stoops has beat them twice.
But we have lost to them on the two best years in the past 45 years with everything on the line.
The loss at Knoxville in 2018 and the loss at Lexington last year to TN were absolute gut punches to our season and to the national perception of UK football.

Yes, he has beat UT twice, both times with a lame duck coach and a team that had practically given up on their season.

Stoops has to figure out how to beat UT when there is something riding on the outcome of the game other than the Belk Bowl over the Music City Bowl.

Until then, we will never get the national respect that Stoops and this team have actually earned.

Getting UF early is a plus, we should go into that game as even or a slight favorite. Toughest game in the first half of the season is @OM but they lost Corral so who knows.

If we can go 6-1 before the bye (which is doable), our toughest games in the second half of the season is at UT and home against the Dawgs. Looking at things right now, we won’t be favored in either on of those but those games are a long way down the road and anything can happen.

At this point, I would hope we go 9-3 (5-3) with another NYD bowl but it wouldn’t surprise me to see us pull out a win in Oxford or Knoxville which could potentially make the UGA game decide the East.

Personally I like to dream big. 10-3 team returning a QB potentially playing like a 1st rounder, first for us since 1998. surrounded by maybe best RB in school history, possibly most talented WR core in school history.

Defense with deep talent on line & linebackers, need help in secondary. Veteran accurate place kickecomes s back for 6th yr. And both sides backed up by incoming consensus top 13 or 14 recruiting class.

I'm #Allin, 11-1, 7-1. Let's Go!

I guess the best thing at this juncture, at least for me, is not conceding a loss to anyone on the schedule. Home games, road games, ranked opponents; no one can pencil us in as a W. Never in a million years did I think this was even a remote possibility in my lifetime.

Back half of the schedule, when injuries start to impact squads without much depth, is heavy-loaded. Feel like these posts happen every April or May like clockwork.

I am not arguing with you, but what am I missing ... possibly the most talented WR core in school history ???

Word of caution. This "most talented WR core in school history", other than Robinson and Baker (if he actually makes it to campus in May), have only played against our secondary so far.

I hope they are as good as advertised. Getting open against our DB and getting open against other SEC DB are entirely two different things right now.

I say potential because Tayvion Robinson, Javon Baker, Key, Crowdus, Barion Brown were all 4* rated recruits at the wide reciever position. If someone more, seasoned, in UK football past knows a more talented collection at the position in our past I'd love to hear about it.

But I do say potential, as only Robinson has so far actually shown his talent in the collegiate level. Key definitely so far living up to his ratings.

12-0: OMG. Burning couch in the street !
11-1: Can't stand how great that would be
10-2: Fantastic!
9-3: Expectation, happy
8-4: Accept, still grumble & b!tch
7-5: Faaaar Stoops !
6-6: Can't contemplate

I see us beating Heupel maybe once in a while. Gonna have to put up 40 to win don’t even matter how the defense plays it’s a moot point against a gimmick team like that. It’s how our offense plays in that game, every year until he leaves.

So I’m not too confident in ever putting a W there or against Miss State either as long as they have those staffs. Its just far and away different from all the other teams we play against, it’s like playing against a triple option team once a season... no idea what’s going to happen

You guys keep talking about whether or not you can beat UGag and you can’t get past UT. UT will prove to be the class in the east from here on out. That giant sucking sound you hear is the window of opportunity slamming shut.

When has one of those hurray up teams ever won anything? All anyone has to do is have a cramp and they are done. Funny thing about the Vols is years ago in Richt's early years he was running a little no huddle and the Vols cried about it to the SEC and an official stood over the ball until the vols were ready. And now those same vols are crying if a player gets hurt and slows the pace down.
