Whether it's -18 or -10, 270 is 270. Changing the score relative to par would just give the appearance of toughening the course without actually doing anything. When conditions are ripe (like this week), I don't mind the best in the world throwing darts and having them stick. Augusta can play soooooo different depending on moisture/wind that I hope there isn't an overreaction to this week. I don't think there will be.
I like a course that will reward the guys who are aggressive and go for birdies... Courses like the US Open where golfers fight for their lives to save par is just not as intriguing... Going for a Par 5 green in 2... Over water with bunkers behind the green is much more intriguing to me than everyone needing to lay up for their 3rd approach shot.

They do play around with it from year to year. Saw some balls hang up this year that didn't in others.
Every year is different. I'd expect it to play a little harder next year but like someone else said, I hope they don't overreact too much.

Just wanted to see how the course played the next year after a low scoring blow out year. Those first two look quite reactionary, while the rest seem reasonable.

If you haven't walked Augusta National, you can't appreciate how EASY the course appears at first glance (if you are a low handicapper). The place seems wide open and defenseless.
That's why weather is so crucial. No wind + Spring rains = Soft greens and No fear of high approach shots = Low scores

My suggestion for next year: if you want to see Augusta National, show up on Tuesday of Masters Week for a Practice day.
When you exit I-20 and drive down Washington Avenue, there are loads of scalpers selling Practice Passes for under $50. Don't doubt this, because I've done it a number of times. Food on the grounds is stupid cheap ($6 will buy you a sandwich, chips, drink).
When you arrive, check the board near 9th green to see the tee sheet for the day. It changes constantly because the players sign up randomly on Tuesday. In the morning, walk all 18 with one group so you can see the place. (Warning: they may play only 9 and then take a break).
Then in the afternoon park yourself for an hour at a few of your favorite spots.
Bring a chair and an umbrella. You can leave your stuff sitting near a green without fear of being stolen. That way you don't have to carry it with you as you walk.
NOTE: you can also scalp for Tournament Tickets, but you should be prepared to pay a hefty price.

It is so refreshing to see a young player, Jordan Speith, win with such a humble attitude. Unlike someone like Tiger who has always been arrogant, Jordan is a great representative of the game of golf.
Tiger was a great golfer but I never rooted for him because of his attitude (like everyone owed him something). I will be rooting for the young golfers who seem to appreciate the support from the crowds. Jordan, Rory and the young golfers sure get my support.

With a simple ball and socket joint like the wrist, it is easy to see how a person can just pop it into place after a dislocation and continue with the activity that led to the dislocation. Embarrassed by my original skepticism of his claim.
Tiger played better than I expected especially on Friday and Saturday.
But did anyone else think he looked totally overwhelmed matched against Rory yesterday? He was about a Walmart Megastore behind him on every tee shot, and was always in trouble.

He also took home some pretty impressive earnings.
The first-place purse for the Masters victory was $1.8 million; the
amount was $200,000 more than Bubba Watson earned last year for his win.
Other purse amounts were:
2nd place: Phil Mickelson and Justin Rose tied and therefore split the prize money; each received $880,000
4th place (Rory McIlroy): $480,000
5th place (Hideki Matsuyama): $400,000
The total prize money up for grabs at this year's Masters was $10 million, an increase of 11.1% from $9 million last year.
not a bad day at the office, or four days that is.
