We are currently 14th, a hair behind 3 teams. Five out of six ahead of us are credited with points for one or more verbal commitments, which have yet to sign and could flip away from them. All of our 19 have already signed.

I hope Rivals does not re-evaluate tonight, as they did in February 2020, knocking two of our 4 Stars down to 3 Star status.

I hope and expect we stay Top 15. Getting Matthews from Delaware would give us a solid shot to climb as many as three spots.

If U.K. signs two players tomorrow who are 5.6 Three Stars, they’ll get extra boost as the score of our lowest rated recruit falls out of the top 20 we have inked. And that is silly, given our lowest rated on Rivals might well be the best kicker in America.

around 18 or 19 if Matthews is the only player added other teams around us likely
to add players.

We will be fortunate to hang on to a top 20 spot after all the politics are finalized on this class.

Might as well accept that and move on. Happens every year.

UK is in position to pass a couple of teams, but a couple of teams are near UK from below them with less commits.

From the way things look I font think AU is a threat. The OC they just hired to replace BoBo has already left. 3 coordinators in 13 months has got to be close to a record. They have lost multiple players to the portal and Yella Wood has had to step up big for it not to be more.

Kiffin is flipping off the NCAA again. OM has signed 18 HS kids and just took number 14 from the portal. The west is really the wild west this cycle

Do the rankings change the play on the field? I'm thrilled to get high rated players but worrying about the minutiae of this just doesn't make much sense to me.

Just want to be clear, I'm not exactly predicting anything here, but it sounds like Kentucky has a better shot than I originally thought. I won't necessarily be surprised if they add two total tomorrow.

And while it is a highly subjective math game, getting to 21 with three stars (or better) filling out the last two slots strengthens our Rivals score a tad disproportionately, given Rivals’ counting only the top 20 signees for class point totals.

I think the crappy move by the ex o line coach sealed the deal preventing us from getting Farmer.

The way he responded just seems like Florida was an easier decision for him due to W changing jobs and trying to recruit him away from UK to Bama at the last minute.

Dirt bag move by W, Saban and Bama. Nick didn't speak to Kirby for 3 years after he left Bama because Kirby allegedly took a PICTURE of his recruiting board. SMH.

So a guy you thought might sign with us is going somewhere else but you can't give us a name?
He might have meant Jalen Farmer, OL from FLA. Was committed early to UF, decommitted with their coaching to-do then signed today with UF. He was one Wolford was recruiting....for UK and Bama. Would've been a big surprise if he signed with anybody other than UF.

If that story is really true...

I can understand Saban being upset b/c unlike so many teams trying to get top shelf 5* talent, he mostly signs guys no one else has heard of, so he has to keep potential signees a secret...

You are either being sarcastic or clueless. Either way, I will just leave this right here so you can read it for yourself and hopefully you can gain some insight on how recruiting works at this level.

Well, 10th, 15th, whatever, there's only six schools I see as significantly higher - 3.7 stars average or better or +0.2 - than UK.

Definitely sarcastic - sure they have priority on their targets. However, Bama’s recruiting board is basically every 5 start kid out there, so it isn’t like they are unknown, which is what I find to be so ironic about Saban acting like his board is some big secret.

Exactly. Saban isn't scouting for a diamond in the rough. What he probably IS DOING is getting EVERYTHING he can get (personal info) about these players so that he can market to and manipulate them effectively. Who are they dating, what are they driving, what do they post about on social media. For every bit of info they don't have and use, that's a window to that recruit becoming a future opponent.

Saban wasn't lilely so mad about who was on the board as much as WHAT was on those boards.

The reality is that Saban was not going to be happy about KSmart leaving because he knew he was losing what could be one of his worst adversaries. Saban has a chip on his shoulder for ALL occasions. (I bet it was made from the back side of one of those crystal footballs he's gotten.) He'd have found something to be angry about if Kirby recruited for Bama while he was coaching at Georgia.
