I would virtually guarantee that there is not one single UK fan on this board who believes Cal should be fired.

So, who can we beat on the road in the SEC right now? Before you answer, you need to remember that every team in the conference has seen us lose to a mediocre UCLA squad and a .500 Ohio State team on a "neutral court". Every SEC team will be smelling blood after seeing those two anemic performances. And it's not like we have a lot of time to get better either. After the UofL game, it's straight into conference play for 18 out of the next 19 games.

I never said the SEC was tough. But, neither is this UK squad. Just lost on a supposedly neutral floor to a .500 OSU team that on paper would be a middle of the pack SEC team at best. Don't think we will be favored at LSU, even with their season in the dumpster. @ Bama and @ Arky will be near pick 'ems.

Come on name someone who is that stupid after losing 2 games for far. Those people are the ones that make fun of IU and UL fans when they go crazy over a loss. Yes we get diff. players every year but it is a fun ride!!!!
Trust me when I say that this post is in no way an attempt to soften the blow of the loss but am I the only one that is wondering how the heck Ohio State has 5 losses already? 2 of them to VERY bad mid majors. That was a very big and very physical team. We couldn't get anything on the inside. They didn't look like a 5 loss team to me but that's what happens when you wear that UK jersey, everyone plays up to their full potential. I just hope they play close to that level when they play everyone else. We should have won the game but we do need to give Ohio State SOME credit.
Cut-Nets and Zaytoven wouldn't lose any sleep over it, for starters. KY fans? Yes that is debatable, so your statement may still be valid.
Just to get this out of the way...I have -ZERO- interest in seeing Cal fired or leave. I would like to see him change his coaching style slightly but, coaches are notoriously stubborn so, that's probably not happening. However, Skal REALLY needs to be played at the 4 spot at some point. He can hit some jumpers and when he sees a few shots go down, that will give him a ton of confidence to do other things.
I don't care what position you are playing, if you are an athletic 7 footer and you can't be tough enough to snatch more than one rebound in a game than you are the problem, not the coach.
They were better than expected but, we were also worse than expected. I think OSU hit something like 8 straight shots in the 1st half? Many of those were three's too.
However, we only have their record to go by and they have lost to some very marginal (being kind) teams. That's why I wonder how many road games this UK team will be able to win in the SEC? If OSU can light it up against us, so can a few SEC teams. Especially on their home floor.
I doubt OSU will shoot that well the rest of the season, we ran into a bit of a buzz saw yesterday but we slso left their shooters wide open on a lot of those shots.
The difference between our two losses though was in our effort level. I thought the cats played really hard yesterday where in tge UCLA game they left their will at home. That's something positive anyway.
All you have to do is read this board and some of the comments being made. There's a small subset that don't like Cal. Plain and simple.

Its just conversation on a mess board. Not one person here knows more then Cal or wants him gone. But yes from Cals actions and his own words he makes it clear what he is about and his philosophy on coaching. We are not going to like or agree with everything the man does. And just because we come on a BS mess board and vent and yes second guess or question our coach in a loss is pretty normal behavior for most fan bases. So im not a troll or hate cal or looking to fire him. Just venting like any ot h er upset fan relax

ahhhh! Social Media! Where all the Dumb-Asses get to show just how dumb they can be.....
OSU was relaxed cause they had no pressure on them, they arent ranked in top 10 and picked to be in final four every year, esp this year, etc...thats how they play loose..maybe if FANS would get out of these players head NOT COACH CAL, than they just might play relax as well.. Quit expecting way too much..and we might get the best team ever geesh
