There is a lot of evidence in this thread that the Earth is round. There is a lot of speculation about possible ways that evidence could possibly be wrong or misleading. I have read all the way through this thread though and seen no evidence presented that the Earth is flat.
Fair enough...how do you see city skylines that should be hidden by the "horizon"?
Your question doesnt have enough info in it to answer properly. From what distance and how high is the skyline?
It's all over this thread, the best example is the Chicago skyline from 63 miles away across Lake Michigan. It's not an illusion because a guy crossed the entire width of the lake with the skyline in the frame of his camera, so...how?
what makes you trust that the video is legit ? 99% of all UFO video's are fake video edits........ but you gonna trust a flat earth video like its gotta be real. Unless you were there... you should always have a healthy amount of skepticism.

Your exact argument could be used for every single picture of the earth from outer space. Do you trust NASA et al because they are government affiliated organizations?
I think Nasa lies about alien life......... which has far greater implications than some stupid flat earth idea

This has to do with cool air low to the ground and warm air above it, which bends the light. Sorry Brushy. If the Earth was flat you could always see Chicago across Lake Michigan. The fact that you can only see it on days with a very particular type of weather means the Earth is not flat.
Also if your theory is the Earth is flat so I can see things that are tall from far away, then why can't we see the sun in the sky all the time?

I've already shown that it wasn't a looming, a mirage or any other type of optical illusion.
This is due to the well understood phenomena of atmospheric refraction. Nautical navigation by the stars requires a refractive correction low to the horizon. For example, you always see an "apparent" sunset about 2 minutes after the "actual" sunset due to seeing the refracted image slightly beyond the horizon of the curved earth.
Seeing the Chicago skyline from a mere 60 miles at the exact predicted refracted deviation is a proof the earth is ROUND -- not FLAT. Now, if you can see London from New York you might have something...
What you showed was exactly a superior mirage. What happened was temperature inversion where cooler air is at the surface with warmer air aloft. Conditions are favorable around Chicago for this is the spring.
What you showed can not be repeated on every clear day around Chicago.
It happens so rarely it made Chicago news here in 2015.

Why can't we always see the sun? I have asked this question 3 times now and you have ignored it.
I've posted no less that 3 videos explaining how perspective works and the limitations of the travel of the light. It's the same reason that you put a work light in a darkened garage and you can't see everything. I suspect your problem is you are still picturing in your mind a sun that is 93 million miles away, well it isn't, it's much, much closer and much, much smaller than what they teach you in school.
He'll just mock you for requiring math for something to be real. Because simple geometry would show that the Sun would just get smaller and smaller until you couldn't see it if it was a distance effect, rather than staying the same size and dipping below the horizon. But we've already established that the guy isn't a moron, he just plays one for fun.
I don't know how high the sun is for sure, I don't know how high the firmament is...I nor any other flat earth researcher have the resources to go looking for these things. There is a worldwide event next month, I believe, to track the sun from positions across the realm and try to figure some things out. I'll keep ya'll posted.
To paraphrase Otis Gillispie, that's a really bad example. You can put a work light in a darkened garage and not see everything, but you can still clearly see that light. We could go into Rupp Arena, get a light with a 30W bulb, cut the lights out, and I'll still be able to see that light from anywhere in Rupp unless my view is blocked. We could go into Commonwealth and do the same thing on a moonless or cloudy night.
