The Cheaters day of reckoning: Comeuppance for UNC & SMU

Cal considers him a mentor yes. What does it have to do with anything? Nothing.

Brown is a helluva coach who walks the like like no one. If he was the coach at UNC it wouldn't matter. That's my point.

This kind of isn't true. We won the championship in 1948, 1949, and 1951. The payments to players and the point shaving happened in 1949. It wasn't a proud moment in our history. There were all kinds of allegations about our illegal recruiting, among other things. I have always felt lucky they didn't take away our championship in 49. Instead they slammed us with the death penalty in 1952-53. I thank God for Cal, because regardless what other fans say, I know he's running a clean ship.
I am wondering when UNC will get the death penalty for denying 1500 athletes an education.

To those same UL fans... I'd come back with McGee considers Pitino a mentor.......... Does that make Pitino a massive cheater by association?

Comeuppance only occurs when some titles are stripped and UNC is sued for not providing the educations they promised.

Fine, but Cal considers Brown a mentor. Bash away at him if want, but I guess we shouldn't whine next time someone brings up his relationship to Brown and calls Cal a cheater too.
It is a fact that Brown has coached at UCLA , Kansas , and SMU and all three have been put on probation . Now maybe he was like Cal and was found to have no involvement . I don't care enough to research it .

Gary Parrish on CBS summarized it like this.. Larry is an NBA coach by nature who has never once sat down and tried to learn all the little NCAA bylaws. Nobody cares about them less than him. It's not nefarious so much as he completely and totally delegates that stuff to assistants and athletic staff, and it had come back to bite him in the ass a number of times. I'm not an expert on Brown's history, but that's the way Parrish said it.

Sounds like he needs a Sandy Bell .

I agree Martin, we served our penalty, now it's their turn, and it should be one of the worst ever handed down
Did all of the NCAA's investigations at Kansas complete? I can't find anything.
