That’s an insane schedule. And 20 of our 32 games have been Quad 1
Too bad we lost Butler again. It was an uphill climb even with him, but beating Bama, probably Florida and Auburn back to back to back, is pretty much the longest of shots now.
That’s the most Quad 1 games that anyone has played this year, if I am not mistaken. And 20 of our 32 games have been Quad 1
Butler didn’t really impact that game all that much though. Only played 8 minutes 2 pts 3 assists. Good news we still were able to get out to that lead. And we likely win going away with a fair whistle.Too bad we lost Butler again. SJU is 5-4 in Q1 and undefeated in Q2.I struggle with us being below St Johns.
But one argument is we are 12-10 against quad1+quad 2.
They are 15-4.
I guess the question is, how good are those 15 wins. Are they on the razor edge of quad 1? Or if they are just average, some good, some not, all those Top Top wins we have should be the deciding factor.
I also have a big problem with this. Quad 1 wins are supposed to matter more than most other games.SJU is 5-4 in Q1 and undefeated in Q2.
Their best win is either @UCONN or home vs. Marquette. They lost to Baylor, UGA, Creighton and a highly mediocre Villanova.
SJU played the 44th toughest schedule. UK played the 4th toughest schedule.
SJU has more wins and fewer losses, but nowhere bear the quality wins we have. They have zero top 10 wins.
Granted. But, anyone can play a tough schedule and lose games. Me playing by myself can lose to Auburn. That's not impressive. Losing to Vanderbilt and Arkansas at home is even less impressive. Not losing should be factored, if it's against good teams. IF, IF, St John's went 10-0 against good Quad 2 teams that were closer in quality to say Vanderbilt than Providence, it warrants consideration. I'm not saying that's true, but people act like beating Duke and Tennessee is all that should matter.SJU is 5-4 in Q1 and undefeated in Q2.
