Terrible terrible called game from Brad White

They ain’t that damn good!!! It’s 34-7 for ****s sake!!! Jesus Christ this has been DOMINATION!

But, if they don’t keep everything in front of them something bad could happen. Even though it’s currently 34-7. Same reason we NEVER really try to score before the half in a 2 minute situation. They’re playing not to lose, as usual.
EXACTLY!!! So scared to play REAL FOOTBALL that we just can’t win the big games. Just wait until Brohm and UL get ahold of our defense. If we don’t adjust and figure out a way to pressure the qb we will be blown out in Louisville. Makes me sick af.

Didn't you make this identical post week one ? Been waiting all this time to do it again lol

Not that White is absolved but the conservative bland keep everything in front is stoops. When we hired him fsu fans came here and said they liked him but the one complaint was lack of aggression and that was at a time fsu had as elite of an athlete as anybody. And that’s all we’ve seen since he’s been here and why we churn oc’s trying to fit him all the time. I mean the guy has been here long enough to know how we’re going to do things.

He did such a terrible job at FSU they were the #2 defense in the country if memory serves correctly.

I didn’t say he was terrible but the complaints of him being conservative existed before he came here. It’s not that he chose to play that way because he’s at uK.
My point was it can be very effective with the right personnel and execution as we have seen many times since he has been at UK.

And my point is he is what he is and for whatever good accomplishments he also probably has peaked with the formula of winning games as the schedule begins to get more difficult in future years. And not a top 10 paid coach type. He’s been good at building the program and systems around it but he’s also been given more resources than any UK coach ever to try to compete. I think Brooks was a better game coach but not as good recruiting but in fairness to Brooks he wasn’t given anything by the administration to work with.

Not getting pressure and the DBs are on an island. They really wanted to stop the run and Bowers. UGA is good

This. Georgia heard enough about slow starts and came out throwing. Unfortunately for us we were ready to stop them from establishing a run game. We were very slow to adjust.

"Bend but don't break" is nonsense. We actually blitzed way too much, with virtually no success, which left our dbs alone.

Can’t play soft against #1 team - attack them bring extra people
When we do blitz right up the middle we don’t create a gap - just a terrible job on defense

We were talking about defense and he has proven many times over that he can put a quality defense on the field. I get that you don't like him and find comfort in a defeatist attitude but to suggest he is too conservative to have a good enough defense is downright silly.

Our defense has been soft all year, with the exception being Florida and Sun Belt Billy’s glorified high school offense. We couldn’t get EKU off the field for God’s sake. Vandy went on sunstained drives against us, hidden by some silly TO’s and Vandy just being Vandy.

And so, I’m more worried about our defense than our offense. A quick look at the rest of our schedule is anxiety inducing to say the least. Missouri, Tennessee, South Carolina, and even Lil Bro have potent passing attacks. Alabama is coming around. And Will Rodgers is a competent SEC QB, who we unfortunately play in Starkville. All of them can shred this defense.

Our defense isn’t as bad as we played last night, I think we all can agree with that. But it’s definitely not as good as it played against Florida. And it’s certainly not the best defense in the Stoops era. So what is it?

The game plan for UGA was bad. I'm sure the whole D staff was in on it but they way overestimated what they could do. I really think they tried to change things to confuse UGA and stop Bowers and all they did was confuse themselves. How many times were UGA receivers just wide open with no one ever in the screenshot? It also didn't help that the defense thought they had arrived after last week and didn't have to bother with the fundamentals. How many times did a D player have the UGA in his sights only to not break down and make a tackle, or just run up and throw a shoulder into someone thinking they were going to knock them down? The defense was so full of themselves and it showed on the field. That is on the staff. They saw it all week in practice so why didn't they get it corrected? Whatever they changed to try and cover Bowers which you aren't going to do just confused the whole secondary Why change up what you had been doing just to try and stop Bowers? You don't stop Bowers. You tackle him and limit his YAC is how you defend Bowers. Whatever they changed totally confused the secondary.

Florida was largely just a great matchup for us. They can’t hand the ball to Mertz to win a game so they spent a lot of snaps trying to run between tackles which we’re good with. UGA largely didn’t even bother with it until they had loosened us up with everything else first.

Y’all can bash away all you want but the bend don’t break defense will NEVER win the big games. QBs sitting back there picking us apart! Embarrassing! Rush the ****ing qb!!! Against mediocre/average talent, it works great, but you can clearly see wtf happens when you play soft ass zone constantly!
Yeah, easier to take if go down on your toe's and not your heel's . Would have liked at least seeing how their QB reacted to taking hits.
