Why is it early? How is that possible? Coach Pope is who he is, he's a guy that builds players up and keeps everything in a positive light, I can't imagine that's even up for debate.

Right - this team is bipolar. You really have no idea what they will do from one game to the next. Hell, even from one ten-minute period to the next within the same game. I’ve never seen a team that swings so wildly between playing like a final four team and an NIT team.

I think we get destroyed in road games against teams like that. But in Rupp we can beat anyone.
This is something that drives me crazy, sagging off shooters, completely losing them or my biggest problem, we go underneath every screen set by the defense. Basically giving them the 3. We really need to zone way more because we can't stop straight line drives. But then we'll sacrifice rebounding but we're already mediocre at best in rebounding. I don't know, we look pretty screwed to me. You can't manufacture toughness, you've gotta have it in you.
You are correct, so far. Low-scoring games have been our nemesis.

The sheer level of hacking, grabbing and mugging that the referees allowed in this game reminds me of the old Big East conference 15 years ago. The majority of those teams all were ranked throughout the year, and several made the tournament in spite of losing 10+ games during the season. My memory is that most all of those teams lost in the tournament by the second round- their physical play resulted in fouls being called by the non conference referees in the NCAA tournament, and the teams were essentially beaten at the foul line. The SEC has got to do something about the level of physical play that is allowed- what I watched in this game was not basketball that I enjoy.
