AD is an absolute lock. Best comp is Patrick Ewing and he has already surpassed him in accolades.

Based on trajectory I would say Towns is likely and SGA barring something crazy will be in as well.

How many UK players will be in the Hall of Fame?

I know Israel and Dampier are in. Riley, too. Will AD get there?
I'm thinking you mean Issel not Israel. A bunch of our current players AD, KAT, Booker, SGA if they can stay away from career ending injuries will have a great chance to make the hall of fame. Injuries has probably costed John Wall & DeMarcus Cousins their place in the hall. And if we want to play the old what if game..... Alex Groza, Ralph Beard & Bill Spivey would be in the hall of fame if it wasn't for the point shaving scandal that rocked the basketball world back then.

Didn't even think about Book.

AD, Shai eventually. Wall and Cousins had a shot, but injuries derailed that. Maybe Murray depending on how long he plays especially if he wins another ship or two. Booker has a shot off stats. It’s crazy Murray never made an all star team, but is consistently one of the best players in the league. Fox is putting out quite a resume as well.

Murray, Towns are international players, so they may be easier to be inducted (international players are in another induction category)

AD is lock, Shai is probably lock (Mvp will almost be guaranteed to be included,)

Fun fact. Between Alex Groza in the 50s until the Cal era, no ex UK player ever made 1st team All NBA. A former Cal player has made it 5 times.
That is what always sort of shocked about our history, relative to peers (Carolina, Duke, Kansas - and UCLA for this issue). We just didn’t have the same number of big names as the others.

Yep, and while we don't overly care about it, it has gotten us dogged a bit in the basketball world beyond CBB.

Rondo has a shot. At least he should. But yes AD will likely get in. SGA is headed that direction. I think you need to go 20 years in the future to see who would have made it. Some of these guys like Cason Wallace and dillingham are just getting going.
Rondo absolutely should be. Multiple rings and top 15 all time assist and 6th in playoff assist.

While Towns’ mother is Dominican, he was born and went from age 0-18 in New Jersey, so I’m wondering if that’ll be a factor

He plays for international team so probably will be treated as international player...

I think he is "international" player in the end and will make HOF in this way

Ramsey, Hagan. I’m sure there’s more.
As far as I know the former UK players that are in the hall of fame are. Cliff Hagen, Frank Ramsey, Louie Dampier, Pat Riley & Dan Issel. To go along with 4 UK coaches that are there, Adolph Rupp, Eddie Sutton, Rick Pitino & John Calipari. Then if we want to play the what if game like I posted earlier Alex Groza, Ralph Beard & Bill Spivey would certainly be there if it wasn't for the point shaving scandal that rocked the basketball world back in the day. Getting back to present times there's probably 4/5 maybe 6 former UK players that playing in the NBA now barring career ending injuries that will have a really great shot at being in the hall of fame one day.

I thought this was gonna be about Cal vs Pope.. because I thought about this today. How soon could Pope make the case of being Cal's equal.

I could truly see Pope giving Cal a run for his money in these next ten years.. if hes still here. I dont think he'd catch Cal in this time frame.. but I believe hes gonna be close. 2-3 final fours.. maybe a title. Already had a sweet16 with a rag-tag group in his first year.

Anyways, what was the question again?

I am very happy that someone else mentioned Alex John Groza ( AJG) .

The player whose jersey with the number 15 hanging from the rafters, in my mind , the best Kentucky player of all times, would have been a superstar also in nba ….it’s too bad he was not giving the chance to prove it being banned after the shaving points scandal.
Groza, the Kentucky player very dear to Rupp, was the superstar that Kentucky probably will not going to have again anytime soon. AJG-15 forever!

First lord willing I am still alive and my wife too 35 years of being pampered and spoiled would be hard to deal with losing her . As for your question who knows but very thought provoking

Another former Wildcat that's in the hall of fame is Adrian Smith, not as a coach or even as a player but as a member of the 1960 men's gold medal Olympic basketball team. Not a lot of players from any college has the basketball resume that Adrian Smith has. NCAA champion, Olympic gold medal winner & NBA All-Star game MVP.

Google “international player definition nba” and decide for yourself. Representing the Dominican in the Olympics will help, but a lot of other stuff doesn’t.

should also be noted KAT has 5 nba all star experiences

If he can get more than 7, he will be 100% in

If he gets 6-7, he will still have good chance to be included at some point, even though not 100% lock

For KAT, I think 3 more all star is achievable and 1-2 more is very likely
