Ten years ago tonight at Lucas Oil

I remember being so stressed out watching that game. Even though we beat them in the final four a couple years prior, I just couldn’t handle losing to them especially in the tournament.
Actually, Vacated was the defending national champion that year.
Me too, I talked so much shit to my ul friends all year. They said it was another easy path to the FF. Crickets in the city for a few days.
I’ve said it a hundred times. Not counting national title games — my favorite win of the Cal era and it’s on my Mt. Rushmore of non-title UK wins of the past 35 years. Along with ‘95 SEC Championship game vs. Arkansas, ‘98 Duke and the Patrick Sparks Louisville game.
Miss that dude. Used to have a gif of that saved.
Being there for that win was one of my happiest moments as a UK fan (and truthfully, of my life, for that matter).
I remember thinking we were toast when they went up big with like 4 minutes or so to play and then it seemed like we just couldn't miss. I still believe if Louisville won here that they would've won the national title. Pitino would've run circles around Ollie.
Harrison gets all the credit for his 3's but I always thought Randle was our MVP of that run. Got timely rebounds and hit clutch FTs too.
