Supposedly 126M devices tuned in to watch this SB

Are you buying the "projection" that 126M devices were tuned into the game?

  • Not a chance in L?

  • You've got to be kidding me?

  • Are they just trying to boost numbers to hike ad costs?

  • Yeah, I buy it. Best match-up since NYG vs NEP!

  • I'll buy whatever the networks are selling. It's how I roll.

  • No adults had anything better to do than watch that beat down that was over at halftime.

Just about every person I know was tuned into it at some point yesterday...if only for the commercials and halftime show. Why would you question those numbers? It probably underrepresents eyes on the game with all the Superbowl parties.

It's probably more since people love to illegally stream games now to protest all the streaming services you have to buy now just to watch the NFL.

Definitely doesn’t represent the number of viewers. You’d also have to consider the number of people close to large metro areas who may not even have cable or a streaming service, but use an antenna. At any rate the NFL is KING down here. The sports bars are packed for NFL games regardless of the importance or what night. I was going to grill my own wings as usual, but wound up getting them from Wingstop because the stores and butcher that I usually buy from were sold out three days ahead. I ordered two days in advance, otherwise, we wouldn’t have had any. We went to pick them up and it was SRO with people picking up.
