To be part of finding and developing a QB or QBs and putting in a QB scheme that is simple to learn, blocking simply pass protection, WR route running made simple and recruit great hands not speed . Everyone becomes a 3rd down receiver on first down. Running great routes with great hand is more important than size and speed especially in college

I wonder how many drops , balls that hit players in the hand and was dropped this year?

I’d like to see Tim at least talk and work a bit directly with Cutter. He’s been down the exact same road and has a nice way about himself.

Wouldn’t mind asking Dermonti Dawson to do the same with our o line. In fact, I wonder if Drake Jackson could take over as our o line coach. He is smart and mature beyond his years.

Can Tim Couch play O Line ?
No but he understands the QB position, he was a NFL player, he was picked number 1, and he’s as fit today as when he played. When he talks to young kids who want to be a QB , they will listen. You can NIL a great OL with NIL. 5 million for 10 OL

There’s a big difference between playing and teaching, and great players don’t always make great coaches. I can’t find much evidence that Couch has even tried his hand at it at some lower level either. Seems pretty unlikely that he could be the answer to our QB development problem, much less develop an entire scheme and take on duties that involve coaching up linemen and receivers too, all in his first coaching position. I get that the status quo sucks right now, but this is a pretty far fetched solution.

Think outside the box fellas. He may suck but to not give it a try is a waste of effort. Stoops will leave when Barney comes up with the money to pay him to leave And remember to be safe Stoops needs to just win 3 more games. Win 7 and go to a bowl is all this low expectation fan base cares about. With Barney a 7 win season gets an extension and a raise.
