These positions are important. UK is not the only school in the past 2 years to headhunt the job. If this was not major, why go to A&M? Why not just groom someone from within?
Don't know anything about her or how impactful that role is in general, but hiring someone from the nation's leading recruiting department is never a bad thing.
Maybe a big deal, maybe not, I'm just excited to see us continuing to try & get better every way possible

These young ladies are all very pretty with outgoing personalities and organizational and planning skills. A good many of them are marketing grads, not too uncommon for them to change schools every couple of years building their resumes.
I'd love to talk to a recruiting insider who could explain the value add these recruiting admin roles provide. What delta does does she bring? I'm admittedly ignorant, though this would make sense if they want to poach her AtM NIL knowledge.
Based on the job description I’ve seen, it sounds like she is in charge of all logistics for recruiting visits. Booking the flights, coordinating schedules, etc.
Pretty important out front face that mom and dad interact with and leaves an impression on the family. Hoping she kills it and helps in some small way with building momentum.

She’s better than nothing. How will she do without Machow and oil money on her side? Hell you can see a difference in TAMUs recruiting from last year to this year with Machow gone.
This. It's an extremely important position. Filling it from a&m is even more impressive considering their recruiting success even before nil. After nil, it's just absurd
She doesn't really do actual recruiting, she meets and greets, arranges trips, arranges host/hostesses, makes sure recruits have plenty to eat, get where they are suppose to be. Lots of responsibility and an important job and sets the tone for visits. But she isn't the one actually showing a recruit around campus and town.
But if you’re bending the rules, they have a lot to do with facilitating that. I think it’s being a tad overblown.

To you and I it might seem insignificant… But to others not so much… “Optics” is a much used word this century ya know?… Perception is reality and all that BS. But if it pays dividends on the recruiting side of football 👍👍

At this point I don't think it matters how good your staff is at recruiting. The only thing that really matters is how much you are willing to pay for a high end recruit.
J8mbo better produce quick with the amount of FIL being spent by ATM. TENNESSEE has also gone all in. But the Harsons have a habit of screwing up, so maybe they will keep the vols like the Browns, always the teasers, but in the end chokers.
Sounds like you nailed it on the Overton kid.... I liked the "Kind of like a home coming" spin they used when talking about why he chose TAMU. Well, I didn't really like it, thought it was cheesy, just like Ole Jimbo.
Under Strong, UL had pretty girls “happen upon” recruits on their campus tours and then walk with the family and flirt with the recruit. They had “good girls” who would invite the more family oriented kids out to bowl or doing something and then the party girls who entertained the guys who seemed so inclined. I suspect other schools do the same, I just knew someone involved at UL.
Kid reclassified to get in on the FIL before any changes or some kind of rules were added, he was always going there. The fact dad worked there for a while was just coincidence. Jimbo better produce, the boosters have certainly done their part. Will there be enough snaps to keep them happy?

No, but they are the most vocal and want to be in charge. The direct TV guy is a behind the scene guy. We both know the Hansen's want to be up front look at me type. His effort with the Browns should be very encouraging. Now just like with the Browns he will want to overrule the coaches, after all he just bought the vols.
Haslem*. And Tennessee got the first QB they went after in this class. He’s more than a last name too. But when your collective doesn’t have money like the players warrant, you have to pursue players born into wealth. It happens with those schools without the booster base.
